u a Cubs fan?

Let this be your notice that your invite to any future tailgates of mine is hereby rescinded...:142smilie :142smilie

I will grit my teeth and root for the Cards...fuk the D.H.

Hope it goes 7 games....its a long time until Spring Training...:00hour

Yes, I am. Normally I would add ",unfortunately" to that last sentence, but now I am full of hope with Epstein at the helm. :0074

Not many Reds fans from Iowa. How did you get to be so unfortunate?

I am--Big Cardinals fan forever--what a comeback they did this year.:00hour

I grew up listening to Mike Shannon and Jack Buck on the farm, so will always love the Cards. Admittedly, I cannot watch a single game during the season; but I don't apologize for that.

On the course!
I guess the real point is, everyone likes to bitch about the Red Sox or Yankees being in the series every year. Then, as soon as someone else gets there, they bitch that the series will be boring!

So, I guess I'd like to know what the fuck people want?

To me, I sit through 162 "watchless" fucking games, to enjoy the only time of year when teams actually play ball, and managers actually manage.

I don't care who is out there. It's good ball for the most part. (Except for having to watch Milwaukee fumble fuck around)

Growing up in the 70s, before cable TV, the only baseball games I saw were Sunday afternoon Cubs games--and on Sunday during football season, I had to suffer through Bears games--those two franchises sucked--although it was cool seeing Walter Payton play every week...:0074

When the playoffs started I got to see the Big Red Machine and the Steel Curtain and so I rooted for those teams because they were good. My brother became a Houston Oilers fan--Earl Campbell was the man, too-- just so we could argue what team was better come playoff time....:142smilie
40 years later, I'm still a fan of both teams....:toast:

Made a trip every year from Iowa to St Loo for a week to watch a homestand by the Cards--saw Stan the Man--my all time favorite was Bob Gibson with Ken Boyer a close 2nd. Go Cards!

I'm sure for a lot of people this is about as exciting as the Ravens playing the Giants in the Superbowl. Maybe if Hamilton came out and dry humped the air to get everyone excited some might consider it a better watch.

welcome to my world i've been an O's fan since the early 70's. I like good baseball but obviously haven't seen it in years. Live in NY, hate the Yanks. (with a passion) should be a good series... :0008

Love baseball will be watching most of the games. Other than the Tigers I was hoping the Brewers would be in it.

Ratings will be shit.
Not that I or 99% of the world cares.

Series is always good for a few good moments.

Rangers totally own the O advantage. Betwixt Puj, Hol and Berk Cards have little to offer (Frese had his 15 minutes of fame.)

I used to like Larussa way back with the Pale's. Also kept an A's team from being forgotten for a while. Duncan probably not getting enough credit. I still think that the Rangers BP has a surprising edge (Ogando in the middle sure doesn't hurt, though I prefer the totallity regardless.)

Game #1 looks huge, in my eyes. 77% winner of the Series, with that standard deviation of ex, of course.

The off-season blows chunks.
Gimme my 15-games-a(most)-days.

enjoy

I like Busch Stadium and the cardinals have some real loyal fans. So it's Big Albert against Nelson Cruz let's get ready to rumble :00hour :0074
