why am i still receiving e-mails ?

i went to the default thread subscription mode & clicked no e-mail notification.

but am still receiving e-mails.


is there anything else i can do ?

When you post a new thread, or reply to a topic, you can choose to automatically add that thread to your list of subscribed threads, with the option to receive email notification of new replies to that thread.
Default Thread Subscription Mode:

click DO NOT Subscribe

and make sure to save changes.

Beaner- Just a hunch, but I don't think you need to tell anyone you didn't attend MIT. I think pretty much anyone can just safely assume that.

if you go to User CP you will see all the threads you are subscribed to. there is a link for each one that allows you to "unsubscribe". i guess you will have to unsubscribe to each thread you participate in or you will get the email, unless i can figure out how to change the default of automatically subscribing us. personally i like it because i don't have to open the thread if i'm not going to reply.

also, at the top of each thread (inside the thread), there is a button called "Thread Tools" which allows you to unsubscribe from that particular thread.

there is also a button at the top of the forum (before you enter a thread) called "Forum Tools" which allows you to subscribe or unsubscribe to a particular forum.

kosar, do you know how to unsubscribe to a thead now? make sure you unsubscribe to the forum as well. if you are a subscriber, your only choice is to unsubscribe and vice versa.

click on user CP at top of forum, see if any threads OR forums are subscribed too down the right hand side. If so clcik un-subscribe to them....both if....that is all that is needed.

does that mean that we'll have to do this for the rest of our life or for as long as the forum stays in existence ?

unless somebody can correct this, i guess i'll accept all of the e-mails.

but it's going to be pretty hectic in everybody's mailbox during the football season.

there must be a way for the webmaster to correct this.

you shouldn't be getting email now. in fact, nobody is getting any. you have to turn it on and manually subscibe if you want email notification.

now i have to figure out how to get mine back on
