Well ... you should never pull a weapon unless you're prepared to use it. If one of those wimps had pulled one, that guy probably would have made him eat it.

Exactly. Hick in Jax acts like the mere sight of a knife would make this guy turn and run away. LOL. Next thing you know that knife is up your arse.

Hick in Jax. :142smilie
I do carry a knife just for the reason of protection. It is a Kershaw Ken Onion knife spring assisted fast opening Blur. Did not say the assailant would turn and run. And it may end up my ass but I would have not problem pulling it and using it. Better than you setting there and getting you or your family's head knocked in.

Those kids were afraid of that guy, which I can understand. However, once he hits you, then I see no choice but to fight back vigorously. I feel sorry for those kids. I wish they had stood up to him as a group rather than wander around getting picked off one at a time. Bullies suck.

The clip reminds me of something that happened to me in my college days. A group of us (6 guys) were similarly antagonized by a bullying prick outside of one of our college hangouts about 15 years ago. I was gonna say that LABurns can verify this story from first hand knowledge, but I just realized that he was not there. Of course, he can defintely verify with 2nd hand knowledge because several of our closest friends were present. The cheesy prick, who wore jean shorts, a button down shirt with the sleeves cut off and gallons of cologne, was a little shorter than me and built like a freakin' truck. He was yelling at us without cause in an effort to "show off" to two dirty chicks and one of his buddies. I spoke up first and kindly asked for him to chill out. He approached me, stood in my face, and said he would knock my head of first before taking everyone else one at a time. I have never been one to get in many fights, but in those days I would have swung immediately to get the jump on someone who invaded my personal space in that manner. The problem, as I vividly recall, is that I was very afraid of this guy. I think mostly due to his size, but also due to his swagger. Anyway, as the dude sat there yelling obscenities in my face, I became enraged and prepared myself to throw the first punch. All of a sudden, my friend - who had been standing beside me the entire time- punched him in the jaw. (My friend later indicated that he swung because he didn't want the prick to get the first shot). Anyway, the stunned dude went down to his knees. Without hesitation I punched him in the face once and then kicked him while he was on the ground at least 5 times -- including multiple kicks to the face and head. The girls he was showing off for were trying to pull me away, but I wouldn't stop. I was in a blind rage due to the humiliation this guy had caused me. His injuries included a broken jaw and an injury to his eye socket. It is likely the least restraint that I have ever shown in "fight" situation. I am embarassed to some degree by those actions, but I feel no remorse for any pain I caused him. Again, bullies suck.
