She gets away with lies because the coorporate press doesn't do it's job.Almost every word out of her mouth is a lie. But the press is focused on her daughter and the baby. Oh, and guess what? She cut funding for Special Needs kids in Alaska by 62% yet she has the nerve to stand in front of America and Special Needs Parents and tell them they have an advocate in her. Yet the press doesn't call her on this? And then they call the press Liberal! It is an amazing bunch of lies they have been throwing at us for 8 years. Sadly, it looks like it will continue until the middle class is gone.

It looks like and I repeat looks like the first articles I read where false. But she could clear up a lot of the misconceptions if she would talk to reporters like other candidates do.

........................................................

No way they trust her in the media.

Its sad really .

There is no way she can answer some of the questions they will hardball her with from left field.

She will not have a chance and will look like a imbecile.

They know it, we know it, the media knows it.

Sex, drugs, gifts uncovered in government oil probeStory Highlights

NEW: Democrats: Report shows Bush administration too close to oil industry

Interior Department inspector general found evidence of unethical activity

Officials had sex with, accepted gift from oil and gas employees, IG found

WASHINGTON (CNN) -
- U.S. government employees received improper gifts from energy industry representatives, and engaged with them in illegal drug use and inappropriate sexual relations, according to a report issued Wednesday.

A report says government officials accepted gifts from oil and gas company employees.

The report was issued by the Interior Department's inspector general.

The $5.3 million investigation "uncovered recreational marijuana and cocaine use" by "a handful" of Interior Department staff, and found two federal employees "engaged in brief sexual relationships with representatives from companies doing business" with the department.

Two Interior Department employees "received combined gifts and gratuities on at least 135 occasions from four major oil and gas companies with whom they were doing business -- a textbook example of improperly receiving gifts from prohibited sources," Inspector General Earl Devaney says in a letter to Interior Secretary Dirk Kempthorne accompanying the report.

Randall Luthi, head of the Minerals Management Service at the Interior Department, said the public had not suffered financial losses as a result of the employees' behavior.

Some of the government employees tried to hide their close association with the industry they were supposed to be regulating, the report says.

The investigation turned up e-mails in which MMS employees "preparing to attend industry events used such language as 'this trip is to be kept quiet,' or were asked to RSVP 'in private' by their supervisor," the report says.

"When we asked we these one of these employees why they needed to avoid discussing their social activities with industry, he responded with a slight chuckle, 'They might have, you know, contacted the [inspector general],' " the report says.

The investigation appears to have been prompted by an internal whistle-blower's report in 2006, and concerns activity from 2002 to 2006 by the department responsible for selling the oil and gas the government collects as rent from companies drilling on federal lands.

The report alleges inappropriate behavior by 19 members of the Royalty in Kind program -- about one-third of the department. Some have since left the department, making it unclear what kind of disciplinary action they could be subject to.

The Department of Justice declined to prosecute two former employees named in the report, the inspector general said, without saying why. Another pleaded guilty to a criminal charge.

MMS head Luthi said only "six or seven" employees named in the report still work for the department. He vowed appropriate action by the time he leaves office in January.

Democrats used the report to accuse President Bush's administration of being too close to the oil industry.

"The Bush administration put an 'America for Sale' sign on the White House lawn from day one and has been courting Big Oil ever since," Rep. Louise Slaughter, D-New York and chairwoman of the House Rules Committee, said in a written statement. "Democrats have been saying it for some time, but this proves it. This administration is literally in bed with Big Oil. Little did we know they were such a cheap date."

Sen. Bill Nelson, a Florida Democrat, said the report should make Congress reconsider plans to expand offshore drilling.

"The rest of the United States government doesn't need to jump in bed with" the oil industry, he said.

"Offshore drilling will not solve our energy crisis nor will it bring down prices at the pump," Nelson said. "Instead, it will enrich the oil companies and reward the culture of corruption that has been fostered, funded and now exposed by the inspector general."

Two oil companies mentioned in the report, Shell and Chevron, declined to comment, saying they still needed to review it.
................................................................

It really just goes on and on.

And this is the tip of the iceberg of this shit happening over and over again.

McCain is incapable of stopping this behavior.

It will be more of the same.

Speaking of lies--appears to me you and stevie and your cnn sources are the culprits--

Good thing FOX promotes a little fair and balance to keep you all exposed :)

A CNN reporter this week didn?t seem to know or care that a fake photo showing a bikini-clad, rifle-toting Sarah Palin had been widely debunked days earlier as a fraud, the latest in series of incidents involving apparent misstatements or inaccurate reporting by the news network.

?(John) McCain has been really good about painting (Barack) Obama as this lightweight ? They don?t want that to come back on Sarah Palin, and people say, yes, she looks good in a bikini clutching an AK-47, but is she equipped to run the country?? CNN?s Lola Ogunnaike said in response to a question on the network?s ?Reliable Sources? show, which aired Sunday.

Click here for excerpt of CNN?s transcript.

Ogunnaike?s remarks, which came in response to a question by host Howard Kurtz about whether Palin?s status as a political celebrity might undercut Republican efforts to portray the vice presidential nominee as a serious, reform-minded governor, were posted on CNN?s Web site and have since been reported and discussed on numerous other independent sites.

CNN correspondents and analysts have also recently misrepresented Palin?s stance on incorporating creationism into Alaska?s school curriculum and falsely reported that she cut funds for people with special needs in the state budget.

Regarding the doctored ?bikini? photo, neither Kurtz, a ?Washington Post? columnist, nor anyone else on the ?Sources? discussion panel ever corrected Ogunnaike by pointing out that the picture was a fake.

Speaking about Ogunnaike and the doctored photo, Kurtz told FOXNews.com on Wednesday that he figured everyone knew the photo was a fake.

?I thought that Lola was joking around since the bikini was so obviously fake,? Kurtz said. ?I thought she was making a lighthearted reference to it.

?Lola is a very sharp former New York Times reporter so I seriously doubt that she bought into the notion that the governor of Alaska had in fact posed in a bathing suit carrying an assault rifle,? he added.

?Lola?s comments were made in the context of the tabloid rumors that have emerged since Sarah Palin?s nomination to the ticket,? a CNN spokeswoman said. ?She regrets that she didn?t make it more clear that the photo was not only a rumor but a hoax.?

The infamous fake bikini shot first appeared during the early days of the Republican convention. But it was widely debunked within 24 hours, with bloggers and others quickly exposing the fraud by finding the original shot, reportedly taken in 2004 in Athens, Ga., by an amateur photographer of his then-girlfriend.

FOXNews.com was among the news outlets to report the fake.

During the show, Ogunnaike went on to compliment Us Weekly?s coverage of Palin, which has been widely attacked as unfair by critics and reportedly thousands of Us Weekly readers.

?I have to say,? Ogunnaike said, ?I read the ?Us Weekly? story, and they were actually pretty good. They actually did some pretty good journalism there. ? And this is a bigger story here. ? They can?t afford to ignore this story because this story drives magazine sales. And that?s the bottom line, that?s what they care about. So if you throw Palin on the cover and you have the words ?Baby Scandal,? they know that?s going to sell magazines.?

Ogunnaike?s remarks are among several apparent misstatements made recently by CNN reporters.

On Monday night, senior legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin said Palin wants ?to have creationism taught in public schools.? But numerous stories ?- including CNN?s own reporting from last week ? have noted that Palin has made no effort to try and include creationism in the state school curriculum.

?I don?t think there should be a prohibition against debate if it comes up in class,? Palin has said. ?It doesn?t have to be part of the curriculum.?

The morning after Toobin?s remarks on creationism, CNN correspondent Jessica Yellin reported that Palin vetoed funds not only for so-called ?earmarks,? but ?even for people with disabilities.? This was an apparent reference to a charge discussed during a Sept. 4 interview, in which CNN?s Soledad O?Brien pressed a McCain spokeswoman on another accusation brought by Palin critics.

O?Brien twice referred to the charge that while governor, Palin cut the state?s special needs budget by 62 percent.
?Those advocates have said, as a woman who is now a mother of a special-needs child, she?s not fighting ? she?s cut the budget by 62 percent since she came into office, and doesn?t that show a contradiction?? O?Brien asked McCain spokeswoman Nicolle Wallace, according to transcript available on CNN?s Web site.

But Factcheck.org, a non-partisan group affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania, is among those that have reported that Palin ?did not cut funding for special needs education in Alaska by 62 percent.?

In fact, the group said in a posting published on Newsweek?s Web site, ?She didn?t cut it at all. She tripled per-pupil funding over just three years
.?

P.S. always daily updates on liberal media lies--

Online Onslaught

The fulminations about Sarah Palin just keep coming at liberal online magazine Salon.com. Author, playwright and columnist Cintra Wilson, a contributor to Salon and the San Francisco Examiner, says Palin is a "Christian stepford wife in a sexy librarian costume... ideologically, she is their hardcore pornographic centerfold spread, revealing the ugliest underside of Republican ambitions."

Salon staff writer Rebecca Traister says she's having nightmares about Palin, who she says achieved power by "presenting herself as maternal and sexual, sucking up to men, evincing an absolute lack of native ambition." Palin's nomination, she says, is "a grotesque bastardization of everything feminism has ever stood for."

Meanwhile, the actor Matt Damon likens Palin's selection to ?something out of a bad Disney movie? and says he's terrified by her. He also said, "I need to know if she really thinks dinosaurs were here four thousand years ago." He said that was a crucial question.

The poor guy apparently swallowed a silly Internet rumor that quoted Palin as referring to dinosaurs as "lizards of Satan" put on earth by God 4,000 years ago. The quote was exposed as a fake almost the minute it surfaced last week.

So Cal
Damon also said that he "doesn't know enough about Palin" therefore intimates that she doesn't have what it takes. Maybe if he didn't know anything about her he could go on the internet and try to find something out. Of course, he is an "actor" so his words carry a lot more clout.
