you`re right...i don`t mean to bash mexico...nor do i have the time or inclination to get into a gun control battle....
but,in this country we have a little issue known as the 2nd amendment....it`s part of the constitution.....and that`s a pretty big deal...
anyway,i don`t think that disarming the law abiding citizens of this country is an option...it`s just not realistic....it`s not american...
personally,if you read up on the craziness that went down in australia and south africa(home invasions and such) when they disarmed the citizenry,it might give you a different perspective....
criminals usually need weapons to commit violent crimes, and criminals will get what they need..... we tried prohibition... how well did that keep liquor off the market?....what about the wonderful war on drugs?...doesn't seem to be keeping narcotics out of the hands of drug dealers....
the consequences for selling narcotics can be quite severe yet people are still willing to take the risks......and you think a government prohibition of firearms would make us safer?...
the reality is that as long as there is a demand for something there will also be a supply.....if guns are made illegal, criminals will keep getting them....law abiding citizens will not....
britain banned handguns, and now the violent crime rate (as well as number of 'illegal' weapons) is only rising....
think about this yo-yo capping 2 people on one side of campus..going back to his dorm to re-arm.....then canoodling his way across campus armed to the teeth while the university and the police had no idea where the original shooter was.......
didn`t shut down campus..no bull horns or sirens...no plan....they sent e-mails...and took for granted that the unknown gunman had sauntered off...
i respect the police...and i respect authority....but,when you call the police and call for a pizza at the same time and you aren`t sure which will arive first,i`d rather be self reliant....
Yea i know what u mean, I sure as hell may not have a solution for this , but it happened.
and it will again, trust me. I guess that it comes down to society as a whole. I mean i only tried to point out the differences here in Mexico and why it is that they dont have teenagers shooting up schools.
I thought maybe it is gun control, or maybe they respect authority. Or the fact they think that even this is too f@cked up.
But we Americans need to find an answer quick, to why it is that our schools and offices and streets are getting shot up.
And having the Nations Homeland security color elevate to Orange , is not an answer.
and locking , and having armed security on campus and in offices around America is not a solution, either.
We need to find out How, and Why, not try to protect us.
How are they doing what it is they want to do, and why?
I truly do feel for the kids that need to go to school these days, when I went to school the worst that i could expect was a trash canning or maybe a swirly in the ol boys bathroom.
Or maybe some yahoo had a knife, that was about it. But it was the ol fashion i will see you after school, you just wait.
Now it is, put on the trench coat , ammo belts, guns in the waist , and well it is time to go to work.
I think i will start with my stupid girlfriend ,and then make my way to the one teacher (that does not understand me) and if any kids get up, well i will put a few in them. And while I am at it, i will make my way from class to class. Why am I going to wait till after school, I will handle my business right now. And the best part about it, the news and media will be here fast, maybe even before the police, and i will be all over the TV and Internet before i can get the last round off, which I may just use on myself. They will know about me. Loner , my ass. At the end of this day, i will be known , and famous. Where do I start?
I guess I will head down to my local gun shop and register a few firearms. Head over to my Wal-Mart get my ammo and trench coat.
See ya tomorrow at school.
