If I were the owner of the Colts

as Jeffrey Dahmer used to say

heads would roll

They have a total IDIOT for an owner.

He learned well from daddy the fucking prick!

anyone who has ever played football understands. you don't go through the hell of training camp and 21 more weeks of practice and games and just roll over and lose games intentionally. no matter how great the potential reward. these guys (most of 'em, anyway) still have pride and are trying to win games. you don't work your ass off for that long and then suddenly think, "you know, we should go ahead and lose this game. that would be best for the long-term success of this organization."

a great recent example at the college level - if southern miss lost to houston, their school and every other school in the conference would have received $1.5M. no doubt there was a lot of people at southern miss who wanted them to lose that game. but i would say those guys played pretty hard that day.

football players work too damn hard to lose games on purpose. i'm not saying there aren't a few a-holes who don't play hard every play (they seem to mostly be wide receivers. desean jackson, anyone?), but teams don't go into a game planning to lose.

ok, i'm off my soapbox. merry christmas to all madjackers!

Give me RG3 over Luck anyway. I love how Luck has been bronzed into the Hall of Fame without playing a damn game.

I wasnt talking about the players.

The Coach can change the game with key subs and no one would be the wiser.

Anyway, if the Colts lose to the Jags they get the number 1 pick.

you think caldwell is smart enough to pull that off? or are you talking about coach manning, who's probably really running the team? :)

no, i know what you're saying, and that's certainly possible. i was responding to the original question, and to people in general who don't understand why the colts aren't just rolling over and playing dead.

I think the players (especially the offense) wants to do whatever they can to keep Peyton. I feel like they are playing for him. What veterans want to try to break in a rookie, especially at QB.

it is absolutely necessary for the Colts to get Luck
in this years draft.

If not they got a long road ahead.

Manning will never be the same.

Come on dude had neck fusion.

Manning is over 30

He is taking huge risks playing again.

That wouldnt be a bad idea making Manning Head Coach.

Expecially tutoring Luck every day.

I do not disagree, but Manning has built a lot of relationships with those players. He made that team. They are going to play for him.

beating the Jags based on them wanting to win
for Manning ?

Not at all. I was simply trying to answer the question about why they are trying to win.
