Why is this site so slow for me lately??

Am I nuts or what??

I go on other forums quickly but here it is very slow. Have to wait for pages to load.

Using a cable modem and a pretty quick cpu

You know what come to think of it mine is always a little slow too.When I look on the bottom it says pitures down loading and then it gets stuck on 0ne item remaining.I have a dell laptop insiron 8200 and optonline cable modem??Its been happing for about a week now?

there was an internet routing problem that has been corrected. thanks for the tracers.

also, some advertisers serve their banner from their site and when they go down or have server problems, it tends to slow this site down as well when their banner is trying to load. maybe once out of every 8 clicks you might have a small problem in this case.

otherwise the site is running great as per the numbers and is really fast for me.

California Network Issues

At the present we are having issues on the network out west and network engineers are workign on it. We will update you soon.
Below is information we just recieved from the bandwidth provider.

One of our transit providers shifted a large amount of ATT inbound traffic to us in Chicago over the weekend. In the short term, we've implemented filtering that has stopped the traffic shift temporarily and are still waiting for an explanation from them.

In the longer term, we are upgrading our capacity in Chicago which would help alleviate these oddities. Those circuits are on order and we hope to have them installed soon.
