Why is Warren Jeff's being prosecuted??

I just don't get it. Some folks (not all) say that being gay is ok, even if God didn't really give men the mechanism (and corresponding anitomical parts) to have sex and procreate. But I get it - some people are born that way and that is just the way it is. No problem with that.

But why is Jeff's situation different? I don't see much difference in poligamy than same sex relationships. They are both considered bad by the Bible and religious folks. But at least men were designed to have sex with women - their "parts" match.

I know marriage is defined as "one man and one woman". So in addition to the variants of "one man and one man" and "one woman and one woman" why can't there also be "one man and multiple women" and "multiple men and one woman"????

Seriously, it seems like Christians could understand poligamy more than gayness? Why isn't there a movement to allow poligamy?

Isn't this just discrimination?

Yea, but I don't think it is just the bible thumpers. I'd bet you'd find a lot of people that are ok with guys poop chuting guys, but think that a 3 way marriage is just plain sick......

I could be wrong, but I'm betting that a lot of people would feel that way. Maybe because polygamists are not easy noticable in society?

Well I know one thing maybe two that using religion to brainwash MINORS and his OWN CHILDREN to have sex with him is against the law. I could care less how many adults he brainwashed into having sex with him but when it comes to minors and incest then I draw the line. This is a classic example of someone using religion for their OWN BENEFIT. Look at the guy, of coarse he has to brainwash someone to get laid,

BP, do you have any objection to polygamy among competent, willing adults? Same sex marriage between two competent, willing adults? Incest between two competent, willing adults?

Not asking whether you personally find those things distasteful, but whether you think it's somehow innately wrong.

BP - I was being satirical.... they are both wrong, in my opinion. Not talking about his specific circumstances, but just sayin' that if a man wants to marry 2 women who are both over 18 and not related to him, how is that different (or worse) than a man marrying a man?

Guess I don't see the difference (assuming there is no abuse of children going on, of course)

But in today's world, yea, that's way too young.

But I was talking more about the concept of poligamy - with consenting adults - being not much different that gays. Both are not normal relationships - and both should be viewed the same, in my opinion. Meaning if we are ok with one of them, we should be ok with both.

They are both different that what God intended, but what the hell.... it IS Friday night after all!

First off i didn't write this post u quoted. Secondly, i didn't even comment on this silly thread because if u think marrying 12 year olds is just like gay's marrying, it is par for the course. Third, i hope there is a god because hopefully he will deal with a despicable person like you when ur time is up. Lots of guys hide behind their beard (religion) thinking they can have despicable thoughts and think this gives them a free pass in life. Hopefully, this so called god sees right thru this. One thing i always notice in life is that if u are a piece of shit u usually live a lot longer then others.
