if early had cut to the hoop after van vleet had the ball, he would have been open for a layup. instead he just stood at the 3-point line and watched. not sure how the play was drawn up, but he missed what would have been an easy opportunity to go to OT.
if not early, then give it to baker who has been shooting great
van vleet is not the guy I am having take that shot, EVER....regardless of situation....if we are talking something where a play is drawn up to get to the rim then I would let him dribble and ddrive, but he isn't on the court if my play is simply inbound and shoot the 3....I have all shooters out there and baker or early take the shot
Saw that as well. Not sure why teams are always so content to settle on a three in those situations. Run some picks, give a guy a chance at an easy bucket. A long three that the opponent knows is coming with an arm or two in your face is not what you're looking for to win the game. Uhg.
