IT DOES NOT TAKE MUCH TO SEE THAT THE CHARGERS HAVE BEATEN INFERIOR TEAMS AND HAVE LOST TO EVERY SINGLE WINNING TEAM EXCEPT A TEBOW-LESS BRONCOS EARLY. THE RAVENS HAVE ANSWERED EVERY SINGLE SERIOUS CHALLENGE. THEY HAVE ONLY LOST IN LETDOWN SITUATIONS. THIS GAME IS A SERIOUS CHALLENGE! AT SAN DIEGO IN DECEMBER? IT DOESN'T GET ANY TOUGHER.
BUT WHEN I LOOK AT EACH TEAM'S BODY OF WORK AND HOW THEY HAVE RESPONDED TO CHALLENGES I SEE THE SAME CONSISTENT PATTERN. THE CHARGERS LOSE THE TOUGH ONES AND THE RAVENS WIN THE TOUGH ONES. AT THIS TIME, AND UNDER THESE CIRCUMSTANCES, I WILL THROW DOWN MY MONEY ON THE MUCH TOUGHER TEAM!!
THE RAVENS ARE COMING...FIRED UP. THEY HAVEN'T HAD A SERIOUS CHALLENGE IN 3 AND A HALF WEEKS AND THESE BOYS ARE CHOMPING AT THE BIT.

my only point is that the motivation factor wont come into play, while all probabilities point to the Chargers not making the playoffs they are still mathematically in it and a lot of these guys on Defense are playing for their jobs for next year.
