If you have yellow cake mix you can do an apple cobbler real easy. Always preferred cobblers myself to crisps.

The apple crisp like I said I just winged it. I didn't measure anything so.....

About

4 tbls butter
4 tbls dark brown sugar

melt in frying pan on med heat and add sliced apples (I used 2 Cortlands and 3 Macs)

add about 2 tbls of flour and1 tbls cinnamon. (I like xtra cinnamon so I always add more. Cook about 5 mins till syrup forms. Pour into a loaf pan. You can use any baking dish but a loaf pangives it more apple to crisp ratio.

Topping...again I winged it

about
4tbls of melted butter
4tbls brown sugar
3/4 quick oats

mix it all together till coated and adjust with more oats or sugar....spread evenly on top of apples and bake at 350 till slightly browned.

You can add more stuff or delete I don't think you can screw this up.

Apple pie recipe to follow soon!
