actually illinois will be playing in indy then chicago then st louis
as for unc...they still play no defense....not sure why everybody just puts them on a pedestal as a great team, or lock to make it to the final 4...i can think of many better TEAMS that could beat them in the tourney
I'm not sure how you can say "they still play no defense". It is innacurate to look at the PPG that UNC gives up and equate that to bad defense. Teams average many, many more posessions against Carolina because of the uptempo game the heels play, which = more points.
So what would be more accurate to assess their defense besides PPG? Well, how's about what shooting % they hold teams to and defensive rebounds, two very important aspects of defense and a good indication of team defense.
UNC Defensive Stats:
Field Goal % 39.7 National Rank: 24
Rebounds/G 25.7 National Rank: 6
I would say that is pretty good...a little too good for you to say "plays no defense".
Not to mention teams shoot an astounding Free Throw % of 71.9 against UNC, a rank 294th....pretty much higher against UNC than any other team in the nation. That's due to teams stepping up their play against the heels.
You either have not watched many of their games, or are basing it on a lack of knowledge on how to assess defense.
