Hope everyone has minimal damage and quick returns of power if lost. This has been one of the worst years that I can remember for bad weather.... :0008

On the course!
IRENE: A PERFECT STORM OF HYPE...

if this is correct has to make one wonder bout news media especially following the great earth quake last week.

Does anyone else think this shit might be getting a little over-hyped?

Of course it was hype!

It's important to make sure the citezenry will always listen, and march, when you tell them to.

Katrina didn't get this much air time until the aftermath.

They hype them all now, especially the snow storms. The bigger the better. For ratings that is. Christ, they were talking about Irene over a week ago.

Well I've got a lot of hype in my yard to clean up tomorrow!

They told my daughter she won't have power for a few days.

Please explain?

He's definitley not thinking about all the snow you have to deal with, ALL WINTER LONG, every year!

That's a work load to deal with at least 4-5 months a year. I don't envy you one bit, being one who lived in an area that gets 16 feet a year.

Yep. Not interested in dealing with that mess.

You mean like millions of other people in the country have when storms hit?

I know it's not news, unless it happens in NY, or LA.......but stuff like this happens to 'regular folks' in this country all year round.

Sorry it was your turn, Mo.

I hear what you're saying. We deal with the 6 feet of snow every year with no complaints just not used to the tropical shit every 5 or 6 years.
