Why always so negative Joker. Have you ever visited Portland? What a beautiful place. You have an opinion about Portland yet I wonder if you ever spent any time there?

Yep. I was there in 2010 for a TV conference once.

Portland is awesome. There people there are weird, and I guess that's the point.
The article implies people there "retire" when what the article clearly means is "unemployed".

unemployment rate Oregon 6.8%

unemployment rate in Kentucky is 7.4%

Have been there twice. Good friend lives across the Columbia in Vancouver. Really like Portland and that area. Of course having to employ people to pump gas probably ups the percentage rate a bit. :0008

Beautiful area. Wineries, Ocean an hour away, just breathtaking scenery. My daughter-in-law climbs Mt. Hood a couple times a years.
