Will this be the least watched second half of any SuperBowl so far?

It likely will be. Ratings are already down this year and throw in the fact that it will probably be decided by halftime I would think the majority of the watching population stays for the halftime show and shuts it down.

Outside of New England (and those of us holding a betting slip on the Pats) nobody wants to see the Patriots win again and they will be up by 20+ at the half giving most a reason to do/watch something else.

If you are an advertiser I wonder if you had to pay a premium to get your ad on in the first half. That actually may always be the case, I don't know, but if it is then that premium probably went sky high this year.

Yea, this is another one of those "what am I missing games" I posted a few times in the NFL forum this year. I have no idea why the line is so low and I haven't met a single person that has made a living betting against Tom Shady.

I'm not Pats fan, but I am a fan of money. This one should be over early. If not I'll be happy to see Brady lose, I just wouldn't bet on it, obviously.

I don't know why they have to start the game so late.

I'd imagine the later the game starts the more time people have to spend money prior to the game. If the game starts four hours earlier then that's four hours less a lot of people are spending in the host city.

To a lesser extent (as far as the NFL cares anyway) even people watching on TV have more time to shop and buy food/beer before the game.

I think it's the perfect time for the game.

Never in my entire life have I seen a back-pedal this blatant.

:142smilie

I really try not to reply to you at all because I'm just not sure what I've done to have you dislike me so much, but I don't think this makes sense.

I said nobody wants to see the Pats win again but I think they will be up by 20. That includes me, I don't want to see the Pats win again (or ever for that matter). Having them losing at half time is much better than I would have expected. How is that backpedaling? Seems consistent to me.

Man, I'm glad I'm not a Falcons fan right now. Holy shit. How does it go from blow out win to loss?

some bad play calling to an extent I think. but give credit where credit is due. Brady is the best player to ever play, and Bellicheck is the best coach to ever coach.

like them or hate them, it is what it is. that game tying drive and catch by Edelman was incredible execution. turned out to be a great game and a phenomenal performance by Brady and co.

I'd say having an idiot for an offensive coordinator is a good start.

Throwing the ball and risking taking a sack was the only thing outside of a blocked field goal that could have killed them. They invited disaster and disaster showed up.
