I read an interview with Jason Day, who has been playing practice rounds with Tiger. He said Tiger's irons are great, but he is not getting off the tee or hitting his 3 Wood particularly well.

Any of us could have hit more fairways than Tiger hit at Muirfield and we all have seen each other play :142smilie
Although the fairways will be more generous @ Chambers Bay, unlike most US Open venues, Tiger can't hit the planet off the tee. He will miss the cut & I have wagered accordingly.

Tiger is the greatest of all time. He's far too good to shoot high numbers in this US Open. With the yips he's been having, I would be surprised to see him play well at all. I'm not sure he even has a chance to make the cut. He has an edge on every golfer out there, as he is well seasoned in Majors. He has to be considered a front runner to win this thing with the way he can't control his driver, and that's almost CERTAIN to get him into trouble, making this a very real chance that he will only play Thursday and Friday. Will he or won't he break 80? Bet everything you have on it!

The main problem is the course looks wide open so his drives shouldn't get him into too much trouble. I wish I could buy this bet back. :facepalm:
