Fletch, I will send some instructions when I get home and am in front of my PC which has norton 2003. In the meantime, I would suggest you do a liveupdate for norton 2003. Issues have been found with Norton and MSN and are resolve by liveupdates.

To do a liveupdate:
1] Right click on the 'Globe' in the bottom right corner and go to LIVEUPDATE
2] Press Next a few times and it will download everything which is needs.

Also Since you use Norton Security 2003 it will conflict with Windows XP's firewall with SP2 installed which means you will have to disable XPs firewall (or norton) Norton 2004 works fine with SP2 after some liveupdates.

To disable XP firewall:
1] Go to start/settings/control panel
2] click on Network Connections
3] Right click on Local area connection and go to properites
4] Go to Advance tab and disable Internet firewall.

If it still does not work, let me know and I will send you instructions to make it work. Seems like your not the only person experiencing issues with MSN 9 and Norton Security.

Regarding SP2 for everyone. You will eventually need SP2. It fixes a lot of internal issues with Windows which includes security. I am 2 more credits away from my MCSE in Windows 2000 Core and am taking Windows XP and MS Internet security at this time. Trust me, I am not a professional hacker by any means but without the necessary precautions to your computer, you are asking for trouble. I can get into systems pretty easy using trojans and such which are not protected. If you dont have a firewall (software) or Router (hardware firewall), you asking for trouble!

XP has a built in firewall (protects people from the outside to come into your computer) but it never worked that great when XP came out. SP2 addresses a lot of issues with the XP firewall. If you dont have a router or Internet security software like Norton or Black iCE then I would recommend you get SP2 installed. Just make sure it supports all the programs you have on your system.

Enjoy.

SP2 strikes again. Its the driver. SP2 installs some usbxxx.dll files which overide some files from your driver. You need to either re-load the xp driver for the device and/or contact Belkin directly. Hopefully the device supports SP2 (it should).

hell for what i do i should of never even messed with it, i was fine, or should of let jerri do it on her pc she uses for work at times from the house, big ass mistake on me trying to do it on my laptop really did not need it, got most things fixed thanks to msn and chuck but it has taken 2 days of work and many phone calls, still have to fix a few more things that chuck sent or posted for me and if not will have to call and pay to fix it because i am to far into shit right now, i would really mess something up. i think they do that shit to make people pay for extra shit to get things right, note to self no more upgrades.

Fletch, get my email from Jack and email me your phone number and the best time to call. All the money you have made me in the past with your picks, I can surely call you and get everything fixed up with you on the phone. I train phone support agents with computer stuff, I surely can help you get everything resolved on 1 call. Dont waste your busy time with computer crap, just pick post some winners in NCAA for me :)

Peace!

well well well, no reply from Belkin or Microsoft.

My phone finds computer and computer finds phone, password for connection is ok. Phone is listed in devices list and bluetooth adapter is in device manager hardware list and "is working properly", right.

Bluetooth devices are set to "turn discovery on", "allow bt devices to connect to this computer".

i get "unable to connect"-error...

Funny thing is my secondary hard disk " E" has bluetooth adapter icon instead "hard disk"-icon in "my computer" but is working normally.

WTF

ok, here is the solution

copy paste from other site:

i had the same problem-ish, sp2 insists on using its gerryatric drivers, i searched long and hard for a resolution to my dilemma, and finally i found one, there is no way of doing it unattended unless the drivers are digitally signed, so i settled for using the gerryatric ones and using com500 which sp2 assigns to a virtual serial connection and it also adds a nice little context menu to my right click for device connection of pc suite, the other way i found was installing the software for my BT device and then goto control panel > system > hardware > device manager > expand bluetooth radios > R/C on generic bluetooth radios > update driver > no not this time - next > install from a list or specific location - next > don't search, i will choose the driver to install - next > click have disk - then locate the inf file for your BT device - next> then it should install the driver for your BT device

Heaven, oh!!, this isn't it?!
Hey guys and Chucky D,
Wondering if Service Pack 2 has fixed there bugs? One of my businesses is Real Estate Brokerage, and they are telling me I HAVE to use IE for my connection thru the Multiple Listing Service (MLS). Uggghhh, Im just getting used to using Netscape, which my computer guy told me to use instead of IE.
After $80 and a supposed clean of my system of viruses, I logged back on to IE, and the F**king "About Blank" hijack bullshit comes back, :cursin:
So, the guy at the MLS tells me I need SP2, but Im real nervous to go ahead, because all the problems you guys have had.
Any thoughts?
Thanks ahead...........
