............................................................

I have spent 6-8 hundred on a purse for my wife.

I finally figured it out. People do not see her when she is watching a 4 k TV DVD HD 1080 etc.

When she has that purse, she is in the public. Its a status symbol and other woman take note of her.
Of course alot of woman dont have husbands that will buy them a purse like that, so there is also envy involved. Woman love envy.

At work, in the mall, at the gym, at the bank, you get the picture. RECOGNIZE !

Forget changing that. Its a woman thing. Just go with the flow.

That could be the smartest thing you;ve ever written... Great insight! And very true!

that's what it takes? :142smilie

you'll be broke. you are supposed to train HER and you're going about it wrong way :mj07:

yea, i look at things differently than most i guess.

My goal is to stop the nagging.

She nags for a new purse for weeks on end? buy her one to shut her up.

Hell, last weekend I made my kids strawberry milkshakes for breakfast just to shut their mouths so I could have some peace and quiet!

Thnk God I never went through that phase! I can't imagine spending more than $100 on a purse and it would hurt me to spend even that!

As far as shoes go, I have a hard time parting with them if they're comfortable. If they're not comfortable, they don't get bought in the first place.:SIB

Google "knock off purses", and save yourself some major $$$$$. Bought my daughter some Chanel knock off purse last year that retailed for $800 and some odd dollars for $125. They'll never know the difference.

HELL
My wife has a closet full of them. Never uses half of them. You name it Kenneth Cole, Coach, Dooney & Burke, Louie Batton, Juicy Couture, Prada, Burberry, etc. She's getting 2 more of them for Christmas (one Banana Republic and another Coach). I think it's fukkiing ridiculous to spend that much money on purses and it really burns me up when we could be saving it, or spending it on other more "useful" things, but I know it will just start a fight so I let it go most of the time. Whatever makes them happy:).

Ain't this the f-cking truth, I just found out I bought another one for a Christmas for her that she picked out for herself compliments of me. There goes another 300 or so. Ok, that means I put another 300 on a game this weekend. I wish I knew how to post pictures here and yes I know there have been many threads on this, I would take a picture of this shit right now. A whole closet full. Unreal.

Spicoli, I thought you of all people would know me well enough by now. I have carried the same $30 purse (cloth) for 3 years now. I chose it for functionality and durability above anything else, and I will use it until it rips or the seams come unraveled.

I don't get it. I don't like purses, I hate malls and shopping... I prefer to spend a day hiking or playing with my dogs. Even if I were very rich, I would never spend $400 on a purse or shoes. I guess it was my upbringing

No judgment on those that want to do this...I just prefer to spend my money on other things.
