how about when somebody addresses you with, "Can I ask you a question?"

Isn't that what they just did?? Just ask it!

Drive thru at the bank, never fails.....

"Have a nice day".

Yeah, they give 2 shits about my day.

The other, it's not a phrase but an action.....

Someone calls ME and during the conversation, they have a call coming in(call waiting) and ask me to, "hold on".

Let me tell you something(loudog :mj07: ), nole won't be there when you click back. You SOB, you called me. Don't put me on hold!

Worst invention ever, call waiting!

JMHO of course.

P.S. I also agre with with Sixfive. You have no idea what I'm feeling.

Oh Hell, I just thought of this one. I always here this at work....

"I love her/him to death but........

They then proceed to bad mouth, talk behind their backs or both.

To death? Yeah right. There's 3 people I 'd love to my death. My wife and my 2 boys.

The worst to me is "huh" you know damn good and well they heard you the first time, but they have to say "huh" so you can repeat it, not sure if it would bug me if I heard "beg your pardon" or "excuse me" because I never hear it, just "huh" makes me sick.

Peace,
ll

OMG, it just happened again. I'm getting ready to grill burgers. I'm prepping in the kitchen. Macaroni salad, deviled eggs(I like to cook). Getting everything ready.........

AND HERE SHE COMES..........THE MOTHER-IN-LAW

I know it's coming and there's nothing I can do.....

IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO TO HELP?

I asked my wife to keep her away from me because I know she's gonna ask and she delivers.

I made a drink and came back to the computer room.

There has got to be a sink hole with her name on it!

fixin'... as in fixin' to do something. It makes you sound like you have an IQ of about 12.

it's regional, just like you probably drink out of a bubbler instead of a water fountain?

A bubbler?

That's what the kids make when they fart in the tub, right?

Well, my kids anyway.

nope, it's what people in some areas of Wisconsin/great lakes call a water fountain. Learned that from my yankee wife the first time we were in a public place and she wanted a drink. I'd never heard of a bubbler, lol!

I grew up in rural Wisconsin and never heard the term bubbler until I got to college in Madison. I had no clue at all what the person was referring to. I still hear it from time to time now, but not often.

"I could care less"

Aside from being quite annoying, it doesnt even accurately convery what the person intends.

I concur wholeheartedly.

And 'yummy' is gaining ground. :com:

:142lmao: :142smilie :142lmao:

I just saw this thread and wondered if you 2 had posted in it yet :SIB ...

And then I got a good chuckle. :mj07:

Instead of using "yummy" I'll say something more manly like "full-flavored" or "great-tasting":)
