I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt, maybe something has come up, but if it comes down to the it that those "Smashes" were actually ten dollar wagers, it's kinda funny.

But if it turns out that all of those stories were fiction, I give Worm an A+ on creativity, some of those tales about catching people cheating on their spouses at the Country Club were vivid and rich.

Blackman, I hope that you are correct, but I would like to think that anybody of reasonable character would have publicly acknowledged the defeat and promptly sent payment.

Agree, a week later is not the move I would hope for. Gamblers can be called many things, but I like to think integrity is something we all posses. Without it that's where the word degenerate comes into play.

That's the only way to fly.

Thanks Jack, had to go out so didn't get a chance to read it until now.

Whether the bet was for $5 or $500 not cool to ever welch. I have known gamblers that have lost just about everything, but always paid their bookies on time!

Maybe something came up for the Worm and he is too embarrassed that he didn't follow through with what he said? Still, I would imagine Jack would allow the Worm a few weeks to get the money to him. I'm not defending him at all............like somebody else said, its bad business....I hope the worm makes this right. A welcher gets their legs broke from where I'm from. I would think Jack might allow the Worm until 1 day after Superbowl? If I'm wrong, I apologize; but even bookies will often give a couple of extra weeks.

Mr Worm, I would get a hold of the man that you placed this wager with and explain why you haven't paid up as of yet. If not, you will find it hard to post anywhere. Wasn't there a guy from here that welched on some $30 pool? There is just no excuse for this. A gambler sometimes doesn't have much, but his honor. This wager must be paid off somehow. You screw it up for everyone that might wish to do a similar wager. Just call him and explain your plan and I'm sure Jack will come here and tell everyone it is taken care of. It really is only your business and Jack's how it gets paid, but suffering the wrath of this forum and your honor are two things that should mean something to you!

Hope it works out!
