Worst and best chain restaurants

Ihate everyingthing at chilisexcept for the ribs which i always seem to have good ribs, but then being on the west coast we dont get much down south bbq.

To respond to kneifl, I was just saying that I rather eat at cheesecake factory than mcdonalds, i think Ruth Chris's is wayyyy expensive but THE BEST CHAIN EVER, absolutely best steak and sides you can get anywhere.

Has anyone here heard of Fudruckers? They have some great milkshakes. UMMMM Tommy Burgers are really messy but good, I havent heard of Benihanas (where they make chinese food in front of you) and they are pretty good.

I like all the lists on here, and dodgerblue, I must agree In and Out is money, i had it twice yesterday lol. Chik-fil-a or whatever, that is really good if I remember.

i really like houston's and a place i didn't see listed: macaroni grill. my kids really like their pasta dishes...
for fast food i do like in n' out burgers but the fries aren't great.

I was born in West Covina and lived in Baldwin Park for a long time (the birth place of IN-N-OUT) :SIB

I totally forgot about the Claim Jumper from living out west for a long time, you won't leave there hungry!!!

I see a couple guys mentioning Don Pablos, we have one nearby, is it that good?

The food on the East Coast/Mid-Atlantic doesn't carry a candle to what is out west

I want to find a place that makes their own tortillas and stuff the burrito full of carne asada, guacamole, refried beans, cheese, salsa and the thing is the size of Barry Bonds' forearm. Pick a place anywhere in SoCal (SD/LA in particular) and ask for a carne asada burrito and you get that for less than 4 bucks, not like this swill you get at chipotle, moe's or salsaritas (they all suck balls). Is there anywhere on the East Coast that I can get the aforementioned burrito experience?

My wife harps all the time about going out to eat...Probably taken her out to a cookie cutter resturant 3 times in the last 3 years..Each time I tell her the FOOD SUCKS...and each time I also tell her...
"When they cook as good as you do then and only then will we go out to eat,case closed"

geez, am i the only one here not picky enough to dislike Applebees???? so far, i haven't seen a single chain listed on anyones *worst* list that i don't like, but Applebees seems to be the most popular.

I used to work at an Applebees about 12 years ago when I was in College, you should see some of the disgusting things they do to the food. Would never eat there. Yuck.

For those who do not know....Most of abblebees food is produced form a commissary that not only mixes the ingredients, but cuts the veggies, and par cooks the meats. The product (called food) is then basically heated like Uncle Bens Boil in Bag rice and then served. All the food is frozen and often has the lingering effect and stale taste that comes with frozen pre-cooked dinners.

They have almost given up on having a decent bar and now only market to soccer moms and Nascar dads.

They have three wines...red, white and white Zin :142smilie

The service is horrible. No sense of urgency, no food knowledge (because its not cooked there), no service technique. Ask a server if a spice is in a sauce or pretend you have a peanut allergy and they will pee their pants.

The shrimp is not cleaned. It still has the line of poop in the digestive tract.

The beer is stored hot, in dry storage, and then re-chilled.

Hey Applesbees stop serving crappy sirlions, dime sized pre-cooked shrimp, and a unorginal refab menu that you copied (and not well) form other resturants.

Depends how hungry you are. Anything can taste good at right time even a drink of water.
Our Outback Steak House serves a nice steak for less then 14 bucks.
Hooters over rated.
Olive Garden has it's good days.
Red Lobster. I agree with DTB go to a China Buffet.

DJV They had Red Lobster ad on tv last night on their shrimp-- have it your way fest----30 shrimp for $11.99 --tack on drink and tip one is looking at 50 cents/shrimp---and 30 shrimp would just make good appetizer.

Red Lobster is a terrible chain. I'd never trust the food there.

I'm an Italian and Seafood lover and enjoy. Bravo's Cucina and Mitchell's Seafood (2 in Cincy area)...

We have this place here in Cincinnati called McDonalds. Not sure if you guys have it in your area yet. Great burgers, fast and friendly service and value. Carry out available. Always gets order right. Has a drive thru also.

Only complaint is the coffee is a little too hot.

used to have some burger joints in baltimore called "little tavern"....similar to white castle,i`d believe...

don`t eat that stuff anymore,but,on a drunk,in my youth,we`d go cross town to get a bag of `em....either lil` tavern or head down to "the block" to get a "pollock johnnies" dog......

used to call the lil` tavern burgers "deathballs"...

i used to eat at applebees on occasion...but after getting food poisoning more than once,i gave up on applebees and bennighans...the worst...

tried cheesecake factory last week for the first time...was very good..

Agree, Applebees sucks ass. Also dislike Olive Garden, Burger King, Mrs. Winners, and I absolutely hate the Outback. Got ribs there one time that tasted like farm pond catfish. Sick. Steak & Shake also sucks ass. They are painfully slow and much, much too expensive for the quality of food you get. Hard to make tough hamburgers, but they can do it without fail. They suck. Tumbleweed always has chitty service and overpriced food.

Nobody's mentioned Chick-Fil-A, and I think that is probably the best fast food restaraunt chain EVER. Everything about it rocks.

Fazolis-way better than Olive Garden, much faster, and much cheaper. I'd also rather eat there than the Spaghetti Factory although that's a nice place.

Taco Bell-much better than many of the higher priced sit down Mexican restaraunts, and of course, much less expensive.

Lone Star-I really enjoy eating there. Their version of the Bloomin' Onion rocks.

Rafferty's-Like DTB already said, excellent fare.

PF CHang's-didn't realize it was a chain, but the one in Nashville has awesome food.

McDonald's-Good prices, fast service, terribly bad for you, but the kids love it, it's always clean here, and it tastes good.

Sonic-Drive in for a change. Good food, fast, and the kids love it.

Cracker Barrel-Always good food there and a nice, unique atmosphere. Good old country cookin'.

O'Charleys-Great tasting, good service, good bang for your buck.

i want a potato with my steak...not a g-damned tropical fruit....

like ordering a cheesesteak sub and getting a mango on the side...
