My condolences and best wishes to you Jack, and your family. It is not often that I become very sad over the death of someone I've never even met. But knowing Jack, I'm sure your niece will be missed--and this incident recalls an painfully similar one that happened to the younger (17 years old) sister of a girlfriend of mine back in '81. Fun loving gal, with world of possibilities awaiting her. Now we'll never know. I think even today sometimes what might have been, instead of death by the most common way for kids that age (remember that parents!). It helps me to think the family has other kids still living, but that is small condolence to the parents, I know...

My deepest sympathies to you and your family. Please let us know if there is any type of memorial/scholarship fund that will be set up, or even to help out with the costs of the service. I know it is very early, but I am sure there are more here that would like to contribute.

I am so, so sorry to hear of this!!! From what I know, she was a strong young lady who'd overcome more adversity than any kid should have to. My prayers are with your entire family. Please e-mail me with G's address if you can.

Thats tragic... and it's awful things like these happen. I will be praying for everyone involved!

And that is horrible about the salesman at the funeral home. Makes me want to throw up... PATHETIC!
