Pretty surprising that they would take the day off considering the magnitude of this game. Oh well, at least I didn't put too much on it.

Yeah, I think you made a good call. I thought about taking the under as well, so it wouldn't have mattered either way. I realize that was only one drive, but there was very little effort or intensity shown by the Bucs there. Pretty pathetic. I don't think they can just "flip a switch" and get it back suddenly. Hope I'm wrong, but I don't think so.

Rcxslam,

Yeah, I was being hard on them. But they should KNOW how important this game is and how important it is to not fall behind early. There was very little effort at all shown by them. A high school team would have scored on them on that drive.

Ok, the Pats are clearly going to take away the running game and make Simms beat them. He obviously can't do that, even though the Patriots secondary is awful. Don't think I can watch this one. Good luck to everyone all the same...

Yeah Thom, I still think the second game will go over. I think KC may end up chewing quite a bit of clock with Johnson, but I think both teams will put up quite a few points. Good luck with your plays!

Go NE

Need Tampa Bay to lose this game.

Patriots are up for this game. Too many penalties though.

Brady is money

Brady's a great QB, no doubt, but it's just as much about the ineptitude of TB's defense today. That #21 should be benched. He's been burned at least once, if not twice, he just blocked in the back on a punt return, and he dropped a pick that hit him right in the hands. You're right though, the Pats want this game a lot more than the Bucs do.

If I were you, however, I wouldn't be too happy with the Pats. The Bucs are trying to hand them this game and they're only up by one score??? They should be rolling them at this point.

Ok, NOW the Pats are rolling them. It took them a lot longer than it should have. The Bucs came out with absolutely nothing today and the Pats let them hang around longer than they should have. Giving up a TD on the first possession of the game did the Bucs in. That completely set the tone for the rest of the game. I still can't believe their D decided not to show up today. Unreal.

Scott,

I never said TB had a poor defense. I said they simply came out with no effort whatsoever today. Normally they are VERY good. They just, for some reason, decided to take the day off. Don't get me wrong, I give the Pats O credit. But TB's defense has no intensity/focus whatsoever today.

As for the Falcons game... personally, I don't think the Falcons are a very good team. They have a great running game and that's about it. I think they will finish the year 8-8. I've made some good coin betting against them this year. And believe me, I'm right there with ya on Da Bears this weekend. One of my bigger plays.

No kidding Thom. I shouldn't have even bet this game. I NEVER win when I wager on or against the Pats. It's funny how their secondary, which is terrible, plays great when I bet against them. Of course the opposite is true when I bet on them though. Grrrr... I hate that team!

the tb def was not all bad. the roughing call really gave the pats momentum. the ultra conservative play calling did not help the def either. the 28pts given up was not that bad considering their d was on the field all day. the drps by joey (bich) galloway hurt tb's off early. anyway, the def wasn't perfect, but they can't do everything. i think this was a fine example of tb's anemic gameplan and off.
