gwynn oak park, enchanted forest, gene shue and earl the pearl Monroe...little tavern(god I loved those little burgers)...

my poor mother used to drag myself and my brother downtown on the street car(and then the bus) to hit all those dept store sales(hutzlers/hechts/stewarts/hoschild-kohn...then lug the shit back on the streetcar..god love her I don`t know how she did it)....then as a payoff we`d go into mccrorys and get a hamburger and fries....`

this is one of my faves....johnny unitas was one of the most mentally tough s.o.b.`s ever in sports...nothing shook that mofo...

I remember that team pretty well. Kevin Lochery (sp) Jack Marin, Gus Johnson. Then the Clippers. Reads Drug Store with grandma and the soda fountain. Yeah, the street cars and old buses. One of my grandfathers drove a street car and bus for like 100 years. LOL The other grandfather was a Baltimore City cop. The News American, Friendship Airport. Gwynn Oak, wow! My grandma was one of those telephone operators at St Agnes. Forgot all about White Tower. Lotsa memories.

I remember the old man taking tubes out of the old tv,putting them in a paper bag and taking them up to the tube tester at the drug store to figure out which one blew...we had a washing machine that was fixed so many times that it actually rusted out(they didn`t like quitting on an appliance).....:mj07:

training camp officially starts on the 30th( and therefore all is well with the world)...:toast:

We did the inner harbor, Camden Yards and Pimlico thing a few years ago and came away pretty impressed. Spent 3 nights there and only used the car to get to the track, walked everywhere else and felt safe doing so.

Always amazed that Cleveland didn't take Baltimore's lead and they still have not come remotely close to realizing the potential of such a great waterfront development
