each started with 1500 in chip count.

2nd hand in he was down to 350 w/ 2nd best hand...but worked himself back up to a current 1800 chip count at the first break....

I talked to BIG Tease who is also there at the event. He said it was very poorly done (I edited what he really said). They only sat 500 people to start, so even though he wired in his entry fee $300 + $35? I believe, he ended up being #258 alternate. Last I spoke to him it was two ours in and he had 120 people more to go befor he gets in. Nice situation, you wait 4 hours, the average stack is $3000, you sit down with your $1500 in chips and the blinds are $100-$200. I don't think they expected that many.
I will update if I talk to him tomorrow.

Anyone else going? I will be there Sunday and Monday.

I was there. Didnt get paid in time to be in the original field. They wanted me to be like 300th alternate. I said fuk off. No way Im comin in short stacked. I know guy that sat down at the table and blinds were 2-400 and he had 1500. Now thats crazy. Countin didnt win. Jack was running over cash game when I left at 11 last night. I will be back there on Sunday. I was on cash game list for 6 hours and never got a seat :scared

playing event #2 today. $500 buyin LIMIT. not crazy about limit but it's something to do. just boring as hell the first few hours.

i was short stacked in BB yesterday and looked down at AK, blinds were $100/$200 and button or next to button raised to $400. no other callers so i went all in. he called after a long time thinking with 88. i never improved and was finished.

better luck today.

there are about 80 tables on level one of the boat. it is a mad house and i can imagine will be worse over the weekend getting seats for satellites and cash games. i played $2/$5 no limit and waited about an hour for that seat. seats were tougher to come by early evening till about midnight.

anybody that's there and wants to hook up for a brew i'm at table 151 seat 9 at 12 noon for the tourney. we can make plans from there. i'm wearing a dark red polo button down and jeans. i'll be at the bar after i get knocked out

nah, i got knocked out about halfway thru the field. there were only about 350 in this one. got home late and went straight to the sack.

no, i'm done until next saturday when my wife plays the ladies event. i'll play a couple one table satellites for the main event that day. i'm burnt out from two 12 hours days of playing and that drive.

yes, it was crowded as hell and damn near impossible getting a seat in anything. all tables were full all day long. i left at midnight again.
