Thanks CG.... that helps my opinion of the "rule" so that someone couldn't intentionally get on their cell phone to make the hand seem as if it never happened in the first place!!

how long do you think it will be before some makes a blue tooth (listening only) device that appears to be a hearing aid and they have to ban any ear devices from the tourney??? ;)
that's already been done ;)

marked cards that can only be seen thru certain glasses, the whole 9 yards.

search rec.gambling.poker news groups for some really wild stories. and stories that concern top name pros. ask nolan because he was one of the guys investigating. scarey chit.

so Jack, does that mean they allow no earpieces whatsoever already?? if not, how can they DQ someone for touching a cell phone when someone else could already be listening to every other players cards on their cell phone?

yeah, i'm dead serious, and it would be wednesday before i saw your reply anyway....LOL.... bout an hour past my bedtime already, and tomorrow is looking like an 18 hour non stop day :(

not sure why you asked "huh?" hell, i understood what i typed. ;)

do they allow people with earpieces in to play or not?? if so, what is to say that some of them don't have a live connection to a cell phone that enables an accomplice to tell them every other player at their table's hand??

how would anybody know the other players' hands?

they allow ipods so i guess they allow 'ear pieces'.

this ain't mission impossible but i guess it could be.

just got back from the main event. i lasted about 10 hours but that is not why i'm posting. i was at 3 different tables during my play on friday and i saw more than once guys use their phones at the table. i do remember the dealer telling one guy he could not talk at the table. however, i was at the table with jeff madsen and he kept his phone out the whole time while texting every hand he was not involved in. i just think because he is a so called "pro" that he was not challenged by any of the dealers who came to our table. the rules need to be made plain and enforced on everyone. personally i think phones should be banned at the table, as well as ipods or any other electronic device. i'm like jack, i just turn my off until break time.
