I'm back, ladies. Just spent a week in Jamaica with the old lady.

We were at the Sandals Montego Bay. Way better than the one in the Bahamas (royal bahamian). As a returning guest, we got upgraded to a 1st floor room 30ft from the ocean....awesome. Best vacation I've ever taken. Brought back enough rum and wine to throw a small party. We signed up to go back next December at 55% off the regular price. We signed up for a "deluxe" room (deluxe = sucks) but the Manager sai that we will be upgraded. :00hour

Sandals Montego Bay was unbelievable, but I doubt I'd have that same impression sans the upgrade. We took a shuttle to the Royal Carribean and weren't as impressed.
Take a look into the Sandals returning visitor deals (if that's who you're going through). For $200 per person deposit, you can secure a sweet deal for next year because of the forthcoming economic downturn in their business.
BTW - The weather is absolutely perfect. I drank the hell out of the Red Stripe....make me proud! :mj06:

We've been going to Mex the last 6 years and did Cozemel. Decided to try Jamaica. Going to Riu Club Hotel in Negril in Feb.

For what it's worth: The customs dept and airport are way better in Jamaica than in Mexico or the Bahamas. That was a big plus.
Will do! We did Playacar when we went. Different resort every time.
Where did you stay? Did you like Mex or Jam better?
Can't think of the name of where we stayed in Mexico, but it was pretty nice. However, I liked Jamaica way better than Mexico or the Bahamas.

We stayed at the AI's in Playacar great time! Went into town about 3 times every week. Lots of fun.
Also stayed at Xcaret. Nice but really a large resort. We like the smaller ones.
