WTF? SWA now has biz class?

Flew to California over the holidays on Southwest.
Logged on 24 hrs in advance and got seats in the A25-A30 range on both legs of the trip.
Sat probably in the first 5 or 6 rows, no problems whatsoever.
Did not see any evidence of the "business class" on our flights.

I wonder who has the patent on that concept originally and how many variations have been spun off from that original patent. I bet someone filed for that many decades ago.

here's another pet peeve, however
like i said, i will ALWAYS have A seating because i will get my boarding pass online 24 hours in advance.
i will NOT jockey for position in the A line because even at the end of the A line there's plenty of good window seats still available (my preference).
these fcuking greedy fuks that have C seating BUTT in line in the A seating and SWA doesn't enforce this infraction unless you "say" something and i'm not that kind of person either.
pet peeve = fuks that get in the A line with C seating :wtf:
a couple of my pet peeves with them--never saw so many small children 6 ft tall--nor have I saw so many crutches-knee braces ect on one flight
You only get cookies on flights that take off at 11:00 am or later.. morning flights, no cookies.
Nice littlle touch the cookies add. I rarely take them, but they are very good.

I'll be doing this SWA thing on Monday, so I'll let u know next week how it worked out. Got a direct flight, so fewer opportunities for me to be picked out of line and searched. I must have "the look" even though it's all random

you're gonna want to get on there early so you can get an exit row seat or you'll be miserable. :mj07:
HERE's where SWA makes a killing now. you used to be able to get last minute tickets at a reasonable price but now they close the regular fares and make you get a biz class seat (in coach seats yet). they will have a hugely profitable year with this new system. :scared
then i checked sidestep.com for tomorrow's flight back from vegas and most one-way tix are in the $150-$175 range for me.
SWA went from a cheap tickets airline to one of the most expensive, selling you biz fares in coach seats. what a joke!

can you get a flight with somebody else cheaper for those dates? I know I searched way over a 100 times for airfare, and SW was always cheaper, and I had at least one stop or layover with all other carriers while SW was non-stop.
wow, just checked myself, and sw is much higher for a close date! I got our round trip tickets for $396 + tax, and when I got that, nobody else could hold a candle to those prices.
i was just checking for fares for my june trip. most likely i'm going out one-way because i'm not sure when when i'm returning. swa has the WORST rates for short notice flights.
actually, they weren't even close on the tickets out either. midwest and northwest blew them out of the water.
swa used to be a convenient and reasonable way for me to fly but i don't see me using them much in the future.

i just some dates for June around my birthday and SW was higher, but the other airlines all have stops and layovers. Worth it to me to pay 100 bucks more and beat that hassle. That's the only advantage I see.
