If you ask me, instead of having USC play in the Rose Bowl, they should have Michigan play Florida in Pasadena with the winner going to Glendale.
After all, who really wants to watch a team in the Rose Bowl who lost to Oregon St. and UCLA?
Personally, if I was voting, I would vote for Michigan because I believe they are slightly stronger than Florida. A person's vote shouldn't be based on the strength of their schedule or by how many points they beat or lost to a team. It should be based on whom you feel is better.
Obviously, some will feel Florida and some will feel Michigan. It does not state the BCS National Championship game must be played by two conference champs....it states #1 and #2 in the country. Are the top 2 in one conference? Maybe, maybe not.
I think the fact Vegas has Michigan as a 3 or 3.5 pt. dog to OSU and Florida 6.5 pt. dog tells you whom they think the public believes is a better team.
Either way, someone is going to be pissed but I think Florida would have more of a reason to gripe as at least Michigan has had the chance to unseat OSU already. I agree with CWood that a Michigan vs. USC Rose Bowl would be very profitable if on the Wolverines side. USC is still very good, but without Leinart and Bush, there is an obvious dropoff (to be expected).
