It's really a stupid idea if they think it will sell. Most people drive a car and can't get it in the car to take home.

https://www.jsonline.com/story/ente...-ribbons-99-pack-its-way-and-free/4200917002/

A Mankato liquor store sold out in less than 24 hours. Reportedly, the 99-pack was priced at $59.99.

In Milwaukee, Beer Capitol Distributing will have the packs available to win at 15 to 20 area liquor and grocery stores and people will be able to register to win, said Dan Graziano, vice president of sales and marketing.

Southeast Wisconsin should have all three versions of the 99-pack: one filled with regular PBR; one with Pabst Easy, a light lager; and a variety pack that would include Pabst Extra, which is a higher ABV (alcohol by volume), Graziano said.

Product is limited, which is one reason Beer Capitol will give away the beers. Another is that the oversize packs don't come prepackaged from the brewery. Instead, they're built at the distributor, one 99-pack at a time.:mj07::mj07::mj07::mj07::mj07:

the novelty and the true price point of $59.99

and further research there is history with the package so they didn't go in blind..

around the colleges PRB is already the beer of choice so this price point is a bullseye promo.

It's really amazing the comeback Pabst has had. Blows my mind.

One of my first beers as a kid and at $1.25 a 6 a good price even back then.

yeah....and was a fav of many a beer love in the early days of my career but was fading then 1975.

Bud was driving out Schlitz[our distributor] and all but eliminated PBR as a Tavern Brand and once you did that back in the day the grocery chain and convenience stores business all fell in line with what was being consumed in the bars..Bud ruled world until Coors finally came to us ...

found a 3rd confirmed sight on the price point...

https://justbeerapp.com/article/pab...-packs-of-blue-ribbon-heres-where-to-buy-them

it's a garage stacker for sure in my old days....:toast:

probably has about 75 days on it when ya get the beer
I said 75 but that's short ..more like 100 from line to Dist. to store.

12 a day... 30 days 360 ...gotta recalculate....for the old days...can't drink real old beer..

12X60=720 divide by 99 =7 supper packs ..last 60 days a beers doesn't go bad on me...

Pabst uses 120
