I don't think anyone really gives a shit about your opinion.

Without unions people would not be working 8 hr days/40 hr weeks. We wouldn't have vacations. We wouldn't be getting OT for today. The bottom line is that people would be getting shit on all day long without unions. Now while skul might like that, most of us don't. I haven't been in a union for years but I respect the front line workers who stick together to maintain basic human rights in the workplace. I would never cross a picket line and will let those who do what I think of them till the day I die. But hey keep letting the elite take those rights away one by one while you bash your fellow working man. Some of you fucking disgust me.

It's getting back to that, but union bashers simply don't get it.

Speaking of woman, I wonder if a certain wife's strapon was made by union labor?

Hedge,
For fucks sake man, think about that statement for just a moment.

Do people not realize that Union contracts are negotiated and renegotiated all the time. The best example I can think of are professional athletes. While it is very easy to say that Johnny Goodplayer makes too much money and that it's a disgrace that they would strike. When baseball players struck and went to mediation, several team owners were forced to open their financial records due to a legal motion made by the union. The owners took the players union to court in an effort to abrogate or throw out their negotiated labor agreement and once forced to disclose their finances they tried to back out of mediation. They were not allowed to do so and shortly thereafter several improprieties were exposed. The owner of the Angels was paying his sister in excess of 65 million a year as a consultant for instance. Now I know that many people allow themselves to overlook certain things, but the fact of the matter is that the owners also sign those contracts. Owners are also allowed to toy with their finances and actually not even disclose much of it due to antitrust laws and such, while a union's wages are public record. So when an auto company, baseball team owner, or airline agrees to a collective bargaining agreement, they are setting the wage scale themselves. They are paying what they can afford and still make a profit.

What you should be saying is when is enough actually enough? When an oil company make 367 billion dollars in one quarter do you really think that they are struggling to pay union wages? Maybe you should be asking where the egregious profit and price gouging line starts, how much is enough? Keep in mind, small business owners rarely have to use union labor. So when AA filed for bankruptcy, or USAIR, or United, Northwest, Branniff, Eastern, TWA, Pan Am all file for bankruptcy and put hundreds of thousands out of work, do you really think it was because unions were costing them too much? You don't think it could be because they, the owners and board of directors, mismanaged funds, paid themselves bonuses after demanding concessions from the workforce, bought new equipment and bought out competitors at inflated cost? Just because you don't see it on Fox News doesn't mean it isn't true or doesn't exist.

Union Contracts help to set the standard for all industry wages and benefits. Nobody is going to agree to pay wages that they cannot afford or that will cause them to make zero profit. Every owner makes more than their employees, it's how much more that is disgusting.

Hope that helps,
FDC

THIS IES A UNION BUSTING BILL:0074

WHY USE UNION LABOR:shrug:

For fucks sake Ray, what the fuck does health care have to do with union labor? Insurance companies are all privatized and none use union labor. My gawd man. Seriously dude, give it a fucking rest man. You and I don't communicate well.

I am better off walking into a public restroom, turning the nozzle of the air dryer up, standing in front of it and hitting the fucking button. Same fucking thing.

Now if you want to talk about yo-yos or slinkys, hell even silly putty, then fine. Anything other than that you should stay out of and let the adults discuss it.

Hope that helps,

Celebrate all you want but, take a look around....unions are dying and are now irrelevant.

Maybe they had a place and a purpose many years ago but, much like you, they are past their usefulness.

It's great if you want to celebrate the past and good for you old timer.

Dude, a can of fucking soup spells better than you do. Why the hell would anyone believe that you have a single intelligent thing to say when you fuck the word biggest up?

Who the hell is Omama? You and Beantownjim both write in upper case all the time as well, which puts you in some very poor company.

Here is an article about the shifting of jobs in this country. I've often said we are becoming a nation of $10 an hour jobs, and this story pretty much sums it up.

When all of the union jobs are gone, I guess some of you guys figure prices will fall on everything, and you will be in hog heaven? Well, those jobs have been getting slaughtered for years, and continue to dwindle......and where is YOUR profit from all of this?

I continue to read how corporations are raking in record profits, but the workers aren't seeing too much of that, are they? So, if they aren't seeing it, and the consumer isn't seeing it....guess what? The rich get richer, and you get shit.

But hey! That's just silly talk.

Bottom line is you get paid what you are worth. If you don't like what you are getting paid, put yourself on the market and see what you are worth.

Is that on one of your t-shirts?

Bottom line is......the USA is on it's last lap.

Homedog is exactly right. It's simply the difference between people with their hands out and blaming others for being successful, because they are not, and the millions of examples of Americans who have taken the risk and initiative to improve their lives.

The Obama's message pits people who are successful versus those who are not. The growing pool of underachievers in the country who want to be taken care of will follow that message all the way to $16 trillion in debt.

Perhaps on Labor Day the unions ought to thank the American taxpayer for bailing out their shining example of how unions "work" in the auto industry.

Well if anyone on this forum would know about irrelevance it would be you. What a stupid post. It is a National Holiday douche bag, so I am guessing it far more relevant than a troll like you could possibly fathom.

What a stupid, stupid post. Look around at what? Dumb fucks such as yourself?

Tell me something Bob, name one fucking thing in your life that makes you relevant. Does anyone depend on you for anything at all? Just curious as to what makes you think you are special, even if it is in a retarded way. Do your eyes bulge out a bit? Do you have short stubby limbs?
