My funeral opinion:
1. Hate them. Much like your original comment I went to a friends when I was in my early 20's and got totally bummed out.

2. I always send a card or online condolence even to casual friends. I've lost both parents and a sister and know how much that little thought means.

3. I never send flowers but often donate money to some charitable organiztion.

4. The trouble with occassionally going, someone is going to notice that you went to one but not another. You end up getting trapped, so I never go.

5. Let's face it. It's as uncomfortable for the family of the deceased as it is for the viewing public. My father had a rather large funeral and how many different answers can one give to the comment,"I'm sorry, if there is anything I can do just ask." or "What happen? I just saw him the other day"

6. My belief is that if i don't physically go to a funeral home. It's like this special person in my life has just moved away. We remember them as they lived not as they looked in a coffin. As we age there are many in our lives who move and we never see again anyways.

7. The worst funerals are the young ones. For some reason, people want to make them out to be martrys or something. I hate it when I see decals on cars commemorating the deaths of teenagers whose lifestyles led to their premature deaths

Where it is real F ing COLD
I don't like heights if I don't feel secured.. In a plane or roller coaster I am fine.. On top of building where there is just railing,.. No thanks.. Top of stratoshere no thanks.. On top of US cellular in Chicago I was getting dizzy.

Fear of drowning.. I fish a lot and never wear a life jacket.. now that is stupid..'

Being tied down and ass raped would fear me too..

Funerals make me very uneasy too. I think I have a bigger fear of hospitals though. I'm actually surprised to see so many people on here say hospitals, BTW. Usually when I tell people I have a fear of hospitals they look at me like I have a dick sticking out of my forehead. Spiders and heights are up there for me too, as manly as that sounds. :sadwave:

Completely agree with bleedingpurple on the heights thing, if I'm somehow secured, it's not too bad. If not, I would probably piss myself.

Elevators (I enjoy them much more if they are glass, and I can see the rate of descension!)
Roller coaster rides that the car spins, out over the track with no railing. (Not like the railing would help, but it makes me feal comfortable!)

I do all of these especially rides, but the heart she is a tickin on those!!! So is th sweat!!!

Well I think for me it's just the thought of how much death takes place in a hospital. I wasn't even talking about being a patient, I meant just physically being in a hospital to visit someone creeps me out. I think most people would say they are grossed out by cemeteries, yet they are fine with hospitals?

But I agree, if I was ever in a position where I had to get surgery I would probably lose my ever-loving mind. I had to get an endoscopy a couple of years ago, which is a simple, safe procedure, and I was anxious as hell even for that. The doctor had to keep telling me to calm down. :scared

Glenn Quagmire.......why would I fear something that will never happen:)

Oh I know it won't happen, but who said fears have to be rational? Something about that Hardy fella doesn't sit right with me. Methinks he is in way over his head this time.

Oh, and I forgot to add to my last post...

Giggity!

Good think I don't have this fear! I have a friend that has literally fainted in the hospital before.

Snakes and eels

I like to eat eels!

not a big fan of heights either.

Is funny how our mind brings risk into equation of how we perceive things.

Most would jump on chance for free $1000 to walk down 12 foot board 6 inches wide that is laying on floor--yet put same board 1000 feet in the air--:scared
