So being a "working man" gives you carte blanche to eschew common courtesy?
You can be demanding, rude, cut in front of others, etc, because you are working? And I can't call an asshole an asshole unless I've "put in my time" as a door to door salesman? Right.
I'm in airports about 6 times a year. Sadly, they are all vacation trips, and I don't have the luxury of being a business class stiff who looks down on travelers as if they are partying in his office. So, I can't feel that pain.
I do know that I have worked more than my fair share of 16 hour days in the can, and when I stop at McD's on the way home, it doesn't give me the right to shit on the rest of the people in line.
I think it would be safe to say that when most people are in an airport, right after the screaming baby.......the guy in the suit with the laptop, and two suitcase sized carry-ons is the least desirable type they want to be near.
I'm not sure why you are so hostile YYZ. I could guess a lot of reasons for your poor behavior. But I'm going to take the high road and not be deragatory. I don't have a beef with you per se. The beef is about the the stuff you said.
Do you really think in today's business world that business travelers BUY 1st class or business class tickets? Maybe the CEO's. But not the rest of us. Now, many of us do get upgraded due to flying 100K miles a year for free, but rest assured, our companies would never pay for anything but coach. And when you have your own company, everything comes out of our own pockets.
You should be thanking business travelers - they are the ones that help keep your ticket prices low so you can take your vacations every year. Without business travelors ticket prices would be much, much higher.
And while there may be some business travelers that appear the way you say, most of them are working hard, traveling and being away from their family, just to get by.
For you to characterize a person by the type of work they do or the way they look is no different than saying "all african americans are dumb".
Being a business traveler, I found your comments extremely out of line. And I called you on it.
It wouldn't kill you to admit your mistake. But if you like to disparage groups of people for what they do or how they look without knowing the person themselves, then go ahead and do so.
Most people call that type of behavior a form of racism and discrimation, and based on your comments, I would think that type of behavior is consistent with what you are all about.
It is sad. Learn not to hate. You'll have a much better life YYZ.
Have a good day.
