sure wish i knew what my days off were gonna be at that point 
i do know now that the DFW training won't be a problem. NYSF, i got your mail, and will get with you as soon as i know anything! (my father may kill me if i don't bring kids along tho....LOL) he's gonna have to be in charge of one of them for 5 weeks in the next 3 months, and the other one i'm sending to a friends house during the weeks i'm out of town.

but i'l convince my wife to leave at 7am & depending on traffic, we should be in vegas about 1pm...so i'm pretty sure that you can count us in for lunch at 1pm at this restaurant...

just a thought....since it's going to be the start of the weekend....maybe a reservation will be a good idea....
Something tells me that if you were not going to be in Vegas, in June, for the World Series, that you would not be hosting a get together. The fact that you are going to be in Vegas, in June, for the World Series, gives you a great opportunity to host a get together, since you are going to be there anyway, so why not, as its more convenient for you, but maybe not other posters that make this site what it is.

No shit, that's a pretty dumb post. We have how many forum members here? I imagine it's in the 1000's. Maybe we should pick a day that will surely fit everyone's schedule.
It's great that we have so many people coming down and it's also great that Jack and Betjamaica are willing to host a nice event for those who can make the trip.

I can think of far better places in June to be than 110 degree weather in the desert, of course I'd love to go as Vegas is Vegas and nothing else compares, but I dont see why everyone is hamstrung to this time, but Kosar, the guys point was Jack originally planned these dates AROUND the WSOP dates he later changed his mind, you "accidentally" left that part out, the better move wouldve been polling people and asking when theyd want to go instead of being told when it is, but we expect nothing but the most honest information from you :shrug:

This was a thing where Jack was going to play a few events, he asked if I could come out and we decided to see if others might be out there or had interest in going out there on those dates.
When there was a lot of interest, Jack decided not to play so he could hang out with everyone. By the time that happened, we already had our flights, not that we would have changed it anyways.
If you can 'think of far better places' to be in June, then go to one of those places.

Yes, the SB parties were all planned iun advance, this is true, but you are a master tap dancer around smart moneys post, if you turned off msnbc sometime maybe you'd stop tap dancing :mj07: :142smilie smart moneys point was the whole reason the get together was planned is because jack could kill 2 birds w/1 stone since he was going to vegas anyway on HIS terms for the WSOP, whether he no longer is playing isnt the point.........I said there are better places to be in June, but I also said I'd like to go to LV if possible, like the people on this board they seem good folks, It is just that the hotel BS is tying me up a little bit, and you couldnt argue that June is perhaps far from the best time to go to LV as opposed to the fall when it is 75 degrees and there is football going on

Whatever the original reason, it's just two schleps that chose that date for a vacation. Whining about the dates of somebodys personal vacation is idiotic.
I apologize that it's hot there in June. Maybe sometime in the future we can better work around your temperature preference and also better accomodate Smart Money's schedule.

since the only thing that i gamble on is football (i like to sit by my computer on saturday's & watch line movement), i prefer going during the summer months to vegas than during the football season......

you can sit by a hotel pool during the day & watch the eye candy, have people bring you drinks, & fry your brain...to me that's the perfect day.....
btw, jack doesn't owe anybody an explanation of why he is going to vegas...or anything else....the popularity of this board speaks volumes of his management style & how he treats people.....
