the lazy man's diet. NO EXCERCIZE!

take your "goal" weight times 15.

mine was 220 x 15 = 3300

3300 is my "maintenance" calories per day. (the amount of calories to maintain a weight of 220). you go over your "maintenance" calories, you gain weight and you go under you lose weight.

every pound gain/lose = 4000 calories

so i started this at 244 pounds. i wanted to lose 24 pounds. 24 pounds = 4000 x 24 = 96000 calories under my daily maintenance calories. NO CHEATING, NO ROLLOVER per day.

i wanted to lose this weight in 60 days so you take the 96000 divided by 60 = 1600 calories per day i had to stay under my daily maintenance calories of 3300. 3300 minus 1600 = 1700 calories per day i could have. i rounded it off to 1500 and have stayed under except for 4 times that i enjoyed alcohol beverages (vodka and water/ 100 cals per 1.5 ounce or light beer 100 calories). those times i stayed under 2500 cals for those days.

i started march 20th, it's been 36 days and i have lost 21 pounds.

i have reset my goal to 210 and will continue until i reach that goal, then i'll stay near my maintenance calories per day to maintain that weight.

questions? :D

it's not easy but it isn't hard either. i drink at least a gallon of water a day and i count every single calorie i take in. salads with light dressing, fruit, fruit smoothies, pickles, lean cuisines, skinless chicken breasts, 90% fat free hamburger no roll, etc, etc, etc.

maybe the math doesn't work exactly right because i didn't check it but the scale doesn't lie and the weight has come off and more to come off is guaranteed. all with no excercize.

just thought i'd share.

Nice gonna try it out, looking to lose 10 lbs in 30 days is this correct:

Currently 185 lbs

Goal weight 175 x 15 = 2625

10 x 4000 = 40,000

40,000 divided by 30 = 1,333

Take 2625 - 1,333 = 1292 cals per day

Is that correct Jack?

correct, sir. no cheating is the key here. you're only cheating yourself. good luck!

i read this on the internet somewhere about 6 weeks ago and gave it a shot. working like a charm :)

almost anything on the grill outside is good to eat too. i'm sick of chicken but....

shrimp is good steamed or on the grill and low cal too.

quitting the sweets and breads is the hardest part but after a week or so you don't miss them as much.

i hate jello but it's good now. sugar free tastes fine. 80 per double box.

i even save cals sometimes so i can drink some booze or have something like......a dove bar. the small ones are 290 cals :D

water, water, water. i have had more water in the last 5 weeks then i have had in the last 50 years together.. it ain't bad. it fills you up too during a hunger urge.

one banana, about 50 grapes and about 30 strawberries with 2 trays of ice in a blender will fill you up too.

it gets boring but it's working.

Jack...I would quit smoking BEFORE you lose the weight. You will gain weight back after quitting smoking, so quit, then do your percentages and MAKE IT HAPPEN! 230 with no smoking is better than 210 and smoking thinking you accomplished something. Just an opinion. My friend did it that way and it worked. SMOKING KILLS!!!
