I thought it was a great ending.

Really smurphy??

I really wanted the cowboy to come back from the hospital and get the bad guy once he put his wife on the plane. I didn't want to see him get offed.

Maybe I didn't follow it really good towards the end but the ending had me wanting more.

Saw it yesterday. The ending left me feeling the same way I did at the end of The Soprano's finale...............Javier was quite creepy and that kept it entertaining, but there really were no surprises, except the ending when I too said, "WTF?"...........Though I will say I was fading a bit when Tommy Lee was doing his final ramblings at the breakfast table.

I don't like ridiculous unbelievable or 'happy' endings. Yeah - at the moment of watching it I feel bad because I was rooting for the good guy. But hours later or the next day I realize that the way it ended was better, more real, somewhat sad.

And I liked the Sopranos ending too. I think it was very clear that Tony was killed - probably from the guy at the counter who went to the restroom - especially given the conversation he had 2 episodes earlier about what it would be like when you get killed.

this movie makes you think after you leave that's for sure and the more you think about it the more you 'get it'. really, really good movie.

i also think it's pretty amazing how the movie keeps your attention without any music or added sound. it's the quietest movie i ever saw. i had to pick my spots to eat my popcorn or everybody in the theather would have heard me munching :mj07:

the acting was top notch with bardem, brolin and jones each giving equal, imo, performances.

by monday i'll have the whole thing figured out. like i said, the more i think about it, the more i figure out.

i don't want to spoil it for others so will leave it at that.

oh really ?

i'm here to tell you that tony was not killed at the end...do you know how i know ? because the mob doesn't do a hit in front of family...believe it or not it's against the rules...

I just saw this Friday. I thought it was a good movie, really, great in parts, but I too didn't like the ending.

I thought the scene where he shot the antelope being done in CGI was stupid. Have we come that far that you can't show an animal being shot, or how about just show him shooting and no impact or the animals running off?

Questions...SPOILERS, DON'T READ IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN AND ARE PLANNING TO DO SO...

1) Who kills Llewellen; the Mexican gang or Chigurh? ((I guess Chigurh?? If so, what was the scene about where the Mexican gets the info from hotpants' mom?))

2) Who got the money? ((Chigurh got it out of the vent?? ))

3) When T.L.J. went up to the motel, it showed Chigurh inside, but then, when he goes in, nothing. Was that a flashback scene, or what?

4) Presumably hotpants wife gets offed. Is that everybody's assumption since he wiped off his feet?

5) Did Llewellen fock the girl at the pool?

6) Who else saw the crash coming at the end?? My brother and I were both cringing just knowing that was coming. What happened after was unexpected though.

7) The businessman hired Chigurh and Woody to get back his money?? Chigurh was upset with that, so he offed him?

the mexicans killed him

Chigurh got it from the vent.

might have been in his mind. but that's where you see the dime on the floor by the vent telling us that Chigurh got the money.

4) Presumably hotpants wife gets offed. Is that everybody's assumption since he wiped off his feet?

he killed her but he gave her a chance to flip the coin to get out of it.

5) Did Llewellen fock the girl at the pool?

no, i don't think

yup, don't fuk with Chigurh. he has his rules that he goes by ;)

I have read articles previously that state that the US gets alternate endings to movies. Most of the other countries will accept what is fed them, but Americans always want a happy resolution before they leave the theatre............Here's one that obviously bucked that system and that is why folks are so perturbed.

Only my opinion, but hell, at least I have one.
