"the bunker"
jack...next time that happens, pull your cannister vacuum out of the closet....remove the hose from the intake and attach it to the exhaust....

stick the hose up your rectum, open your mouth and turn on the vaccuum to the "high" setting....

spongy told me this works like a charm....:yup

Choking, and not being able to breathe, is no joke. Couple years back I had a bad chest cold, got coughing, and choked up bunch of mucus from my lungs that got caught in my wind Pipe. Because of my injury, I don't take have the ability to cough real hard. Couldn't clear the mucus and eventually went unconscious. Luckily my mother stopped by & called the ambulance. I woke up 2 days later on a ventilator in the local hospital. Easley could have died, it's no joke.

To rest my diaphragm, so I can breathe without difficulty during the day, I now use a mask at night. I could never sleep with these things, very uncomfortable. Finally found the only one that is comfortable. Now use it every night. Sleep great. Hardly even know it's on your face. Believe me I know about these things unfortunately. This mask is awesome. For people that have to use them, would be awesome Christmas present.

Hell I don't know
Jack.. I know what it feels like to feel like you almost died! I had a stroke 2 years ago (blood clot in my brain) I felt really drunk and passed out. It scares the crap out of you and really opens your eyes to how quick it can be over.
Glad your're ok man..... It's about time to get together, have a few, and talk about a few of us madjackers we have already lost :SIB

had the surgery about 10-12 years ago.

Worst 2 weeks of my life recupping but it worked great. I sleep great, meaning I get a restful sleep. I used to be go damn tired in the middle of the day. I caught myself falling asleep driving a time or two and knew i had to do something.

The sleeping at the sleep center was a pain but showed i stop breathing over 100 times a night. i had both nose problems as well.

Had tonsils removed, part of my soft palate, and a deviated septum repaired. Had it done with a laser

basically counld not swallow for two weeks without pain. Ate mostly a couple of spoonfuls of ice cream a day. lost about 30 pounds.

i'm having that sleep study done tomorrow night. i wonder if i can bring my laptop

Hey Jack I know the panic you went through. A few years ago I was on a road trip with some friends and was eating chic-fil-a in the car on the way home. I started choking and and came close to passing out. My friend slapped the shit out of me on my back and it came out. It's amazing how quickly panic set in when i couldn't breath.

uhm 2 near death experiences

was on a platform in amsterdam passed out on the train tracks with my buddy a few feet away after hitting the local amsterdam sights- apparently our legs were over that yellow line that you dont dare to cross. a train was coming full steam ahead and another friend of ours luckily dragged us out of there with about 30 seconds to spare. neither one of us had any idea.

number 2 (another train incident)
me and my buddy (same guy as amsterdam) climbed on the top of the train because we thought it would be a good idea to "surf the train" back to our next stop. needless to say we were hammered drunk and right before the train started moving we decided to climb down and get physically removed from the train station.
we avoided electrocution, disfigurement and a very gruesome death by probably 20 seconds.

would not wish that on anyone.........

I'm not wishing, let's be clear about that. I have said for a long time Jack has sleep apnea. I know, because my Dad has had it for years, he quit breathing 120 times per hour:scared

Hope Jack gets the machine...it will change his life!
