I was thinking about coming down for a Super Bowl party but are you guys all checking out from that early too? I'm not much into that Us vs Them shit that's happening but, aside from your Tennessee whiskey (Jack, that is), your booze has nothing on ours.

Just beers, tonight/day. 16/24, I think, depending on conditions. Truthfully, this is about the best buzz that I've ever achieved from beer alone. Interesting (maybe) story to tell.

I'd had 12/20 by the time the (my) games ended and decided that 30 hours of consciousness and beer hadn't made me "tired" or whatever the funk the term is for that need-to-sleep cycle. Hit a local "pub" for a few more.

Cool place. Run by an Iranian guy who used to serve in their military. I've talked to him a few times, and a little bit to their patrons (except for my appearances, they seem to be all of Iranian or Syrian descent). Interestingly...perhaps...the ones that I've spoken to don't seem to have any animosity towards Americans. Some minor criticisms about the American government but nothing untowards about Americans per se. Fact is, that tonight I went down there feeling rather pissed about tonight's action and, despite having downed more than the requisite number of drinks, I felt certainly coherent enough to defend myself if somebody wanted to funk with me. Place was very busy...would have been like 20-1, I'd say, if I was, say, 16-20 years younger and in that kind of flambouyant mood:rolleyes: . I certainly wasn't but was quite surprised at how coherent I seemed to be despite the """abuse""" (of, excuse me while I take another swig....). Middle aged and younger types are there drinking and playing whatever the hell card game they play there (some kind of trump game, best I can figure, but haven't watched enough to know what it is). No trouble at all. Felt totally at ease and at peace. Wasn't looking for a fight but was ready to get my ass kicked if it came to that. Very decent people.

I only suggested that it "might" be interesting, and I am fairly intonxicrated so if seemingly boorish then must to be forgiven. Thought it was interesting considering the goofy Us vs Them shiite that was happening in another thread that I thought better of wasting my time with. Nevermind that...drank three there, in about an hour, and felt totally at ease. Been going there for years and felt fine with the previous Iranian owners and feel fine with the new Iranian owners. shit....hope whatever point I'm trying to make has been taken and will leave it at that.

Think I'm on #16/24, depending on if breakfast resets me or not. Killler buzz. Perhaps the best buzz I've ever gotten off of beer alone. (((Almost))) helps me forget about Kerry Wood, the fly-out double play in Houston and whatever else I truly have forgotten.

Y'all either have lives or have passed out.
I think I'll have 2 or 3 more, myself.

Chit I want some pus...nevermind

Anyone in?

c'mon...
...iit's Saturday night!

what do you feel like hearing?
Got about 3,500 tunes on the HD (maybe why everything else is so freaking slow).

crap...I'm pissed via a potentially stupid reason.
Just realized one of the cocksucking cats in this house tore a shred out of my leather jacket.
my fault, probably, for picking the funk up while wearing it but funk these frickin' low-life critters.
what the hell did they ever contribute to me but the most minor peace of mind.
Be tempted to kick the bastards next time I see 'em.
And I really like cats.
Just like my goddamned leather a little more.
Fvckers.

I was lucky to see Metallica at the hollywood paladium in 85 they tore the place down!

Sorry about that, Spartan. Ended up crashing prematurely. I guess 24 is about my limit.
Added Freebird to my current playlist. Cool tune.

Not time like the past. Just cracked #2.
Only 40 left and they better last me through Tuesday--my 40th.
What's 40 divided by 3?
Make that 38.5 divided by 2.87.

over $100 on beer this week.
not including bar run.
a withdrawel would be nice...some day.
sure calling a lot of stuff right that I'm not playing.
not sure if it's a lack of guts or what.

so you think your schooling's phony
I guess it's hard not to agree

Reds--I have had Abita Amber--in fact I mostly drink amber's. Fat Tire is good but don't drink it much as it is to easy to get. Alaskan Amber is brewed in Juneau--1st tasted it when I went on a cruise there about 5 years ago-

Please elaborate

remove the corn from the cob with a spoon(actually Ice cream scooper works the best) salt with Kosher salt, about a teaspoon and refiigerate for an hour in a collander with something to absorb the water underneath said collander. Heat two teaspoons of olive oil and half cup butter at medium heat. Saute corn with a hint of flour and baking powder. I personally add onion flakes not fresh onions as they will overpower. Once corn is browned add second half of butter and stir constantly, very important. Mixture will form somewhat of a thick consistency. Once that is acheived add half cup of heavy cream and quarter cup of corn meal and stir consistently. Mixture will turn a bright yellow. (do this in an iron skillet) once color is acheived add paprika, salt, pepper to taste and sprinkle with bread crumbs and prepared hash browns. About one cup. pour into casserole dish and bake at 350 for fifteen minutes or until moisture is baked off and nothing but butter coating remains. Let cool for about twenty minutes and serve. Hello heaven.
