still alive.

Hey Jack, what was that post about, a few weeks back, when you said something about quitting drinking?
You missed April Fool's day by about a month.

i have only been drinking on saturday's since mid march as part of my diet. i will never totally quit unless i medically have to. i am taking a break from my diet this weekend (5 day weekend at that :D )

the diet is working too as i have dropped from 227 pounds to 212 so it's worth it. i do this 2 times a year since i turned 51.

no exercise :00hour

i guess that's my next change tho

i lost count

no way i'm taking inventory either. there are beers in the side shelves, the bottom drawers, behind things, on the sides. forget it.

but they're still flowing constantly and the buzz has returned, which is the intent anyway :00hour

That first part is funny.
That latter part is something that I got into with a friend at breakfast this morning. He seems to think that such intent is...no other word for it--wrong. Somewhat irresponsible, even.
Seem to have left all my partying buddies in Calgary.
Mind-alteration rules, IMO.

#6 here I come

(makes 14 since 11:11 last night)

to your(s) buzz

well, it certainly isn't for the taste. the ONLY reason to drink alcohol beverages is for the friggin buzz. the guy is a goof :mj07:

close to heaven.

tunes, beer, good weather, baseball, Stanley Cup starting tonight.
only thing really missing is some smoke...maybe one other thing, but that would interfere with the baseball and the hockey...everything in its place.

this friend could rightly be called a "goof" for a couple of reasons, but he's really one of the nicest people I've ever known. Gotta be freakin' genetics or something 'cuz most people I've ever known can't keep a positive outlook through the shiite he's gone through. used to think nurture but seen too much evidence for nature.

Been up a long while and not even tired.
Beauty.

(hmmm...everything in its place)

Gotta nice Steeler mug (Sorry Jack) that holds 3 beers at time, therefore on my first 3. Going to be a nice night for TV, hometown Penguins, Pistons-Celtics, and late UFC. Woo f-cking hoo!

Drinking my favorite beer-which now I can get in Denver--Alaskan Amber-great stuff!!.. Redsfann-what local beers do you drink?

Number 2 is in the bag after a very nice bottle of Oregon Pinot Noir with grilled Swordfish and fresh, right out of my garden asparagus.

Happy Memorial Day, Hawkeye! and everyone else, too...:00hour

As far as local beers go, hawkeye, there are 4 local brewpubs here in the Quads, two on each side of the river. best one is right across the river in downtown Rock Island, and I got a growler (2 liters) of Big bad Dog English Ale.
A dark Ale, a bit on the bitter side and an alcohol content of 6.7%....:D

They also brew a really good Pale Ale and chocolate stout; Front Street Brewery here in Davenport has a really nice Amber Ale and a Light Lager that is great on a hot day.

Otherwise, I drink a lot of Fat Tire from out your way--its been available here in Iowa for about a year now. Was just in Albuquerque last week and drank nothing but Fat Tire.
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is another regular beer of mine. Just really depends on what I feel like drinking when I head out to grab some beers, really.
As long as its not American mass-produced swill, I'll give it a try...:mj07:

Who brews that Alaskan Amber beer you are talking about?
In New Orleans there is a beer called Abita Amber, great stuff. Normally not much of a lighter style beer drinker, such as the Ambers or the Lagers, but that was really good beer. Cheers!

just cracked #11. will be 20 within a 24-hour period, including pre-food downage.
I am not pleased with these late-game inconveniences.
based loaded one out and give me a huge break one time.
flippin' Cubs pull off some mojo and I'll forgive Jimi.
this time.

called the hockey game about perfect but, silly me, I decided not to play it.
Guess I figured that 20-8, up my baseball losses+, didn't warrant trusting my intuitions.

I need some tunes.
Apparently.

long ago I wandered through my mind
in the land of fairy tales and stories
lost in happiness I knew no fears
innocence and love was all I knew
