Great job Gibber. I did a 7-day body cleanse a few weeks ago and drank over 120 ounces of water per day. I usually drink no water. I am trying to get a lot healthier but I still want to enjoy things...

This looks interesting. I know its $275...how expensive is it other than that? Meaning, what do you buy from the grocery store, etc? When I hear words like "organic", I automatically think "expensive"...

Also, how much can you workout while on the program? Do you get lightheaded if you work/workout too much. I've just started back and doing fairly moderate weightlifting 2-3 times per week for about 45 minutes and running (sprint workout) 2-3 times per week.

Not sure if I'll do it or not, but I am thinking about it. Thanks for all the info.

Also, I'm mid-30s, 5'11, about 185 which isn't a bad weight. I have been developing a gut lately which I really need to get rid of and I almost always feel rundown/tired/out of shape.

This program sounds like exactly what I need :)

Work out all you want. Infact the most important part of the program is to sweat 6 days a week. Especially at first. Have to sweat all the toxins out.
You will not get lightheaded at all. Thats whats different about this program. You will have more energy than you will know what to do with.

Im telling you the only hard thing about this is the cravings for bad food. Even though I wasnt hungry, i still wanted to murder a meatball sub.

Your body will go through withdrawls and you will most likely have headaches on days 3 and 4.

Food

the cost is not too bad. Its weird cause you get to the store and go to the produce section. Pick out your veggies and fruit.. Then your done! Its the only section you can shop in.. the other 95% of the store you cant touch!

So you dont spend all that much.

We actually saved a small fortune.. Not going out, not spending money on booze, no spending money eating out.

Stay strong brotha! The cravings are kinda bad and you are going to be sick of veggies!

But it works and you are going to feel amazing!

I have been juiceing using the jack Lalane juicer for several months. I only use organic fruits & vegetables, and surprising enough sometimes organic is cheaper. You can sometimes get a 5 pound bag of carrots for couple dollars. I get what is in season, like strawberries are 2/4 Bucks no. Blueberries 99 cents a pint.
Lots of times there is a cart in grocery stores where they sell produce at ridiculous low prices, for example I usually get 8 apples (red delicious, granny Smith, Macintosh) for 99 cents. This is because there may be a slight cut or mark on the Apple from the harvesting. Some people think it's because the fruit is almost passed ripe, it has nothing to do with this. It's because the particular apple doesn't look perfect because of slight imperfections. In the juicer doesn't matter at all.

I have been doing this for several months. If you guys don't know, I'm paralyzed from the shoulders down and have been for 22 years. At this level injury, it's extremely hard keeping weight off. Hard to exercise & sweat. I'm pretty much Christopher Reeves level injury. Just by eliminating Sugar & bad carbohydrates, I was able to stay fairly slim when I was younger. Approaching 40, it became difficult to keep weight off. Playing football I used to be 6' 3" around maybe 235. Now I'm around 180. I have been using this diet probably 6-8 months. Usually juice 1 or 2 apples with hand full of both strawberries & blueberries and maybe 3 carrots, and eat maybe a 6 ounce light yogurt (organic) only about 75 calories. Do this for breakfast, juice again with some organic nuts (almonds or walnuts) for lunch. Then eat fish chicken or very lean beef for dinner with salad or steam vegetables for dinner.

It's amazing how much this changes your life. Everything is better, sleepy better, more energy. I had many urine & kidney infections previously. Integrity of skin much more healthy. And this can only be attributed to diet, because like I say, it's virtually impossible to get meaningful exercise. Everything else in my life is the same except diet. And it's not really a diet, just a new way of eating.

Keep up the good work gibber. And good luck on your new quest touchdown. I think you will be pleasantly surprised the way you feel. Like I say, it's a life change, not really a diet.

As gib said there is so much shit in food today. Our ancestors never had this shit in their food. If you saw the nightly news tonight, they want to start giving young kids 8 years old cholesterol medication, because child obesity has become such a epidemic. but they neglect to address all the high fructose corn syrup and other total shit in food the American youth eat. It's really shameful.

Sorry so long winded lol

Gibber, I'm assuming those pics from the 4th are here in Dallas. Where did you go?

We went to Lake Grapevine for the day and evening. Man oh man what a waste. For a lake to be in the middle of DFW like that and to suck so bad amazed me.

Gib what was your energy level like?

Maybe take us through it weekly. I'm starting my new job soon and am trying to figure out if this is going to be a poor choice as far as timing. Did you feel drained all of the time, or during certain points?

Its a great time to start the program. No better time!Your energy levels will be through the roof! I shit you not.. This is not a program that you are starving yourself and have no energy. The shakes will always keep you full. Aside from some bread cravings you feel amazing! You sleep like a baby so you wake up well rested! Your mind will be sharp.

Having said that. I would start on a Wed or Thurs. The reason is because on days three and four and maybe some on day five, you will more than likely have headaches.

Depending on how many toxins you have in your system that you need to get out. I had some bad headaches. So start on a wed or thurs and so you can get through the headaches on the weekend.

Well been off the program for over a week. My body seems to still be rejecting bad food.. I had a Qtr Pounder w/ cheese yesterday and had the hershy squirts for two hours. I swear i could have chit through a screen door. This was followed by headaches.

So mostly fruit in the morning still. Usually a chick salad for lunch and something decent for dinner.

So far no weight gain.

Touchdown. Have you started your program yet?

Just purchased tonight. I currently weight 206, and have been getting back into shape after taking over a year off from working out after our second baby was born last summer. Hoping to trim a bit of flab and begin to sleep a little more soundly.

Never Sham It's always good to hear from you.
Thought about that juicing awhile ago. Is there a link that shows me how to do the whole thing? I might try it with my wife and son.
Good luck with the football season. Please post if you like something. You have great insight on some of these games.
Thanks

Even if nobody reads this I feel like it might help me to just talk it out and update my progress. Its only the second day and I am already having some withdrawals.

Yes i am aware i am a shitty writer so please keep the smart ass comments to a minimum.

When i say Detox i am not talking about Drugs or Booze... but something that affects all of us.

FOOD

Its scarry to think about all the chemicals and toxins we ingest on a daily basis in this country. I dont sleep well, im tired during they day,I have sleep apnea and my bones and joints are starting to ache on a daily basis and i am only 30. Oh yeah and i am turning into a fat ass!! Last week I bit the bullet and decided to take hold of my life and do something about my ever expanding waste band. I purchased a detox program that i have heard great things about and it arrived on Monday.

Today is day 2 of my 21 day detox program.

For a mere $275 I have signed myself up for, what I assume will be, 21 days of hell.

The first 10 days of the program are strict. There are all kinds of shakes and supplements that I am to take 3 times a day, and this is no problem. However my food intake is strictly fruits and raw vegetables. For drink, you have two choices, Green Tea and water?

Let me say that again? Fruit and RAW VEGGIES.. that?s it..Not even things that are healthy like nuts, bananas, oats, beans, wheat and cheese. Not even orange juice or skim milk.

I used to think I loved salads. Turns out what I loved was all the croutons, meats, cheese, bacon bits and the ranch dressing I put on the salads.

The good thing is the shakes leave me full. I am not starving. But I am very unsatisfied. I am really craving bread. In fact, that?s pretty much all I think about. The say the cravings will go away after about 5 days.

So, will it be possible to correct 30 years of bad eating habits in 21 days??? I suppose time will tell..

I heard about this program on Sports Radio 1310 the Ticket in Dallas. They have a trainer on Saturday mornings who has a show. I emailed a few of the other DJs who have gone through the program and they all swear it works... I think the average weight loss is about 20lbs for men.

Here are some details about the program if anyone is interested..

Wish me luck lads

I will update soon

I am on day 3 and it's not as strict as it was when you tried this.

now they allow one chicken breast or 1 peice of fish from the start. i don't eat fish so i'm on the 6 ounces of chicken per day. he allows bananas and pineapple but if you want max fat loss he advises to stay away and use berries only. that's what i'm doing.

so far, a shake in the morning with fruit.

a salad at lunch with a shake/no fruit.

my chicken breast around 4pm.

and a big fukin green apple around 6pm.

that's it.

i'll let you know how it goes for me.

no cravings at all. 6 pints of water fills me up and the shakes do too.
