awoke this morning to find my utility trailer and all my lawn equipment stolen..

They literally detached the trailer from my truck stealing all my machines w/the trailer.

I have filled police report and should have a detective visit in no less than 48 hrs.

Nationwide Rep. says to make a complete list of all items w/serial #'s is possible.

I have no independent insurance on the trailer nor on the machines..

I guess the biggest questions is it standard policy that attached trailers are covered as well.

I really want to have my ducks in a row when I go to my agents office on Mon. to file the report.

Any and all help from the Insurance Agents or those who have any knowledge of how to proceed here on the forum will be greatly appreciated..

Fellas I am literally out of business as of this morning..

Over $5,000.00 w/trailer and equipment stolen overnight from in front of my home..

Jack or IE..please provide my e-mail address to anyone who may help me.

A million thanks in advance to anyone who can help me here.

13 years have busting my ass and putting my life back together and this morning I am devastated.

Your auto insurance should cover this. If not, if it was parked in a garage, driveway or car port, you should be able to squeeze this in under your home owners. Stay strong OS. I'm sure this will all work out.

I hate thieves!

I'm sure agent and others in the business can give u good answers.

My experience has been with a shed on my property (farm) being broken into and contents stolen which included 4 wheelers, lawn tractor, tools, etc. I didn't have any special rider on the shed or contents, but the regular farm insurance paid all 3 times things have been stolen. I was even able to add on after the original claim months later after discovering other missing items. Hopefully this situation is similar and u r covered. Can't imagine why u wouldn't be.

I doubt the police will do much of anything but take a report :sadwave: :nono: but hopefully u can at least recoup your losses.

MY FIL had all his tools stolen (a shitload), his lawn mowers, weed whackers, snow blower, everything on his carport and his homeowners insurance covered him in full. What's the difference

Sorry to hear this OS. Hope they find the fuckers and everything works out for you. Keep in good contact with the police and what Raymond said isn't a bad idea at all. Stay strong, I'm sure everything will work itself out.

This is business stuff! That's a HUGE difference than some tools in your garage/carport.
