The best way to review this movie is to say that I really liked it.

However - here are reasons why I wouldn't recommend it...

1. If you don't like Sci-Fi.....do not see this movie.

2. If you can't suspend disbelief over a 22ft. tall blue alien - do not see this movie.

3. If you are SixFive - do not see this movie.

There is a lot of hype over this film and there is good reason. It has groundbreaking special effects. You will see things in this movie you haven't ever seen in others to date.

The story is old - imagine going to see a movie with your child and watching an animated movie where the forest animals are fighting against the mean construction workers that are bulldozing their forest where they live. That is the plot of this movie.

Kids will really enjoy this movie. 12 and up anyway....

There are a few swear words - but no big deal. (Shit, Goddamn)

This is a fun movie to watch - by the way I didn't see the 3D version since my wife is blind in one eye....I might check out the 3D at a later time.

I saw it in 3D this morning.... Theater was empty, which was nice.... I thought the morality msg, and political underlying msg about how humans are inconsiderate, and an extremely selfish race, was true, but come on, they arent terrorists... THE 3D was awesome, the COLORS were the best Ive seen since the WHITE BLOTTER at University of MICHIGAN at Hash Bash in 88 (and I was sober today)... I hope ALL movies are made this way... I heard films want to be 3D to prevent PIRACY from happening, and I really enjoy it....

Last 3D film was like Freddy Krueger 6 or 7 and before that Jaws 3, 3D, Amityvile 3, 3Dm and of course FRIDAY THE 13th, Part III, 3D!!!!

The 3D now is much better, and the glasses much more comfortable, (and not paper and cardboard with red lens and blue lens...)

I paid 7 bucks for the 3D matinee ($5 for normal), and I thought it was worth the 7... Once. I wont rent it when it comes out though. Definately gonna see ALICE IN WONDERLAND 3D with JOHNNY DEPP!!

2 hours and 40 min was a bit long.... but again, I think for those who add a little herbage or even Timmy Leary meds would really be in for a treat!

For the life of me, I can't understand the appeal of this movie for anyone over the age of 14 that doesn't play Dungeons and Dragons.

You got me... Played since 1977.... Course, havent played in years....

Started when I was 7 in SCHOOL GIFTED CLASS... Not sure why they taught that.....

Said it opened the mind to imagination....

Once Gary Gygax left TSR games and they made a 2nd Edition never touched it again. Sold my set for over 7k back in the early 90s when collecting was a huge deal... Regret the sale.

Saw it last night with the wife and M-I-L. 3D was pretty cool. I liked it a lot but don't care to ever see it again..

I've never looked harder at feline breasts in my life... The mating scene seemed to be a little much for kids imo...

How can anyone not like Star Wars - glad to hear you like it.....I watch the movies throughout each year off and on.

Tell you what Gary - since you're an honest guy - if you go see Avatar and you hate it - I will give you your money back......sent FedEx.

I like sci fi too, so why #3?

seriously, is it too much for my kids, or do u think it would be ok, Nick? I'd like to take them and Jess to see it Monday if you think it would be ok . thanks!

I appreciate the offer, but I can't see giving up the time for this. It is that unappealing. I love movies, but I just can't get excited about it.
