2 weeks after rushing my dog to the emergency vet and countless hours at his regular vet, Bailey is now in heaven. we had to put him to sleep this morning, there was nothing else they could do. I have known for a week that this day was very soon, I kept thinking he would be better each day and it just got worse each day that went by. We did everything to try to save his life including a blood transfusion, blood tests, etc. Loyal companion for 9.5 years I am going to miss you bud.

A friend of mine owns a framing shop and recently framed a large photo for a family who lost their dog to illness. They had the dogs name engraved in brass and attached to the wooden frame. Looks nice and is a good way to remember their family member.

Sorry to hear about your dog.

Sorry to hear.
Best thing to do for a dog lover is get another one.
Houston SPCA is excellent. You should head down there and adopt a friend. They have pups and adult dogs that need homes.
At the very least look around. I am sure one sad dog will make you want him.

The Houston downtown location is huge.

Sorry for your loss. I lost two dogs last year that I had for 13 years. I totally agree with the others about getting another one.
Wish you the best !

dreading the day that I have to put either of my boys down and they are both rescues.....very sorry to hear of your loss and I echo the sentiment of going to rescue another one soon....bring joy back into your life and give a pet a good home!

Suck for you dude. I had to have a Red Heeler put down back in Oct. I had her for 16 years. She was still bright eyed and happy but her nerves in her hips just started to fail. It was only fair but it sucked.
