GW,
Sounds like this one makes up for it unfortunately.

so i guess we should stop driving?...right spongy?...

lets see...
we have an oil spill 21 years ago - check
we have another oil spill today - check
now what to do?

i guess we repair the bad "blow out preventer" valve...and clean it up just like the last one...

restart drill bit.......and move on...

we need new forms of energy?...unfortunately,we don`t have them at this moment...or in the forseeable future...

the most you can do is encourage innovation...but you can't make a law to discover something tomorrow....

who`s not driving to work monday(aside from spongy)?...who`s willing to sacrifice?....

we live in the real world...not the land of sugar plums and faeries...

I am heading out for oysters and draft beer in a minute. About 2 dozen will do. No telling how long they will be around at all, much less for $6 a dozen...

also boiling shrimp and crawfish this weekend just in case........

They'll bring them in but you can expect about $12 a dozen minimum.

When I lived in Maryland a lot of the seafood restaurants got their blue crabs from LA. The JUMBOS, anyway. Now that they won't be getting crabs from there, I betcha the prices go crazy high.

This will affect many businesses and the consumer plenty.

Drill baby drill.

Why not ban driving automobiles b/c of the recent Toyota recalls? Maybe we should shut down airports for months on end while airline crashes are investigated.

All I know, is in the unlikely event that this turns out to be sabotoge, I hope they hang the culprits.

And you are rolling your eyes at what?

This incident will totally cripple thousands upon thousands of people who depend on the gulf for their lifeline.

And it seems to everyone who has followed the story that BP tried to cover up how bad the spill was.

Ya this is the problem and always has been but guys like Weasel are so far stuck up big business asses no matter how shady it is. he doesn't seem to know the differences between a sucessful big business and cunning con job of a business. Weasel still hopes and pray's for the day he becomes a billionaire or even if a billionaire would let him suck their peepee. It is gonna be a crushing dream for Weasel when on his death bed he realizes that he didn't become one of these billionaire's. I just hope his gov't health care he hides from everyone, helps him live a few more days too reach the age of reason..

so do what?.....immediately stop driving?...stop using petroleum products?.....almost everything we use ...every fricking container...every auto mobile... clothes, cameras, aspirin, tape, eyeglasses, footballs, football helmets, paint, golf balls,shampoo,soap,telephones.......the list goes on forever...

stop utilizing our own energy so we can go deeper in debt and become even more dependent on foreign sources for our lifesblood?....

IF it was an accident(unknown as we speak),....until the cause is determined, stop whining...fix it... clean it up...and get on with it...

if we were allowed to drill in the more remote, oil rich areas(anwar),the environmenatal impact of such an accident wouldn`t affect thousands of people...

you guys are living in la-la land...
