Looks like the war is going as planned. Troops are dying so the dead troops would have not died in vain. Even Ronnie Raygun got out of Beirut instead of risking more soldiers. I'am glad Bush was not President during Vietnam, instead of 58,000 dead there would have been 80,000+, hey maybe we would have still beeen there. He was a big supporter of the Vietnam war, but did he best not to go. Why do you think he was a cheerleader? He wants to be on the sidelines, with the women and not get in the game. He does not mind throwing your kids on the fire of war. Troops in Iraq are doing nothing but busy work. Walking around with bullseyes on their backs. Wondering if this is the day they're going to get it.

2,800 lives and 2 billion a week, how's that a good thing

2,800 lives and 2 billion a week, how's that a good thing

The latest losses -- four soldiers who were killed at 9 a.m. Wednesday by small-arms fire -- are part of a recent spike in violent attacks against U.S. forces that have claimed the lives of at least 24 soldiers and Marines in Iraq since Saturday, the military said.

The count now is 24 in last week and over 300 Iraq civilians. I guess you could say it's not improving and have a 95% chance of being right.

Spy gems...from this site.......

""This is a tool the government can use to rid themselves of anyone who disagrees with them, terrorist or American. """They come in the middle of the night and you come up missing. Out of the country tortured and jailed, you, Joe blow American, or Cindy S. This is just the begining. Wait until the Gestapo comes for you.""" Bush has got you Repubs wipped up about terrorists, there were 7,000 murders in the US last year, Americans killing Americans. You'll alot better off worrying about your next door neighbor killing you than a terrorist. But sheep just follows the @ss in front of them. Bush will march you to your grave, but he won't follow you in.""

""The US invades a country kills 10's of thousands of it's citizens and now they are worried about a test. Is America afraid that Iran and N. Korea maybe able to defend themselves from invaders. The US should worry about putting NO back together instead of propping up puppet governments for profit. ""Right now America is the biggest threat to world peace.""

this is just a snippet of the moronic rantings of a diseased mind....

he`s stupid incarnate...

i hope that `splains it...

are you guys just "playing" dumb?

Are you ? Is Bush ? The day will come, when we end this conventional ground war, I can tell you for certain, the lives lost in Iraq after the fall of saddam ,were, are, and are going to be for not. There are only three options : 1 finish the job the Bush way, which means stay the course and get men slaughtered. (2 ) double the force and really finish the job for a short term win, that makes us feel good about a shallow short term victory. (3) pull out all conventional forces and use our air power to contain and use special forces to hit designated high priority targets. There is no way our military on the ground in Iraq in the present form will ever bring stability to that country. If you know different please tell me how. For us to take control of that country, we would have to inflict major damage to the people and their land. If we are not willing to do that today, why wait, get out and approach this thing from another angle. It's not cutting and running it's being smart. How long do we throw good after bad. Does anybody know how to finish this job ?

use air power to hit what high priotity targets?.....these murderers live among the civilans...hide among the civilians......dress in civies.....
that`s why this is so hard...

you actually think iraq is happeneing in some sort of vacuum?...are you aware that 9/11 happened pre-iraq?

bryanz...should we also abandon afghanistan?....because,the islamists won`t be sated by just a pullout from iraq....

or didn`t you hear?

we`ll have to stop doing business with the saudis, also....pull all support for israel....cut ties with our friends in egypt,kuwait,jordan?.....

at what point are you willing to just let the jihadis run foreign policy for all arab nations?....

and if we run,how does that deter them?....why doesn`t that just embolden them?...

the same report that stated that the iraq war aids in recruitment of terrorists also said that success in iraq will decrease the amount of terror and terrorists........

You might add 4000 Iraqi police have been killed--and their still volunterring--U.S. army reached it recruitment quota earliest time ever this year.

So whats new --those that pack the load-- couragiously continue to do so--and those that don't squat continue to do all the whining:shrug:

Same shit-different era

It's phenominal the way you continue to leave out any info that might damage your points.

The Army made major changes to try and make up for 2005 - their worst recruiting year since 1998. They raised enlistemnt age from 35 to 42, severely lowered aptitude tests, dramatically increased signing bonuses, and dramatically increased recruitment presence around the US.

So yeah, they better damn well have been able to get more recruits. BUT YOU HAVE TO ADMIT, the numbers would still be sliding if they didn't start buying people out better.

You and Fox make it seem as if it's all part of a great wave of patriotism or from wonderful news coming from Iraq - making everyone want to hop on the team just in time for the winning score. You know very well that's bullshlt. You know very well what the Army had to do to get those goals. You know very well that without the increased bribes, llowering of standards, and increased age limit they would still be sliding downwards.
