"health care" I'd be glad to hear it.

Quote from this article on Health Insurance

"I think we have to think differently"

You asked...... check it out

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/health-law-spurs-shift-hours-022100532.html

I pay $138 month for my Insurance Special Care Plan from Blue Cross here in Nepa also wonder how much your employee's pay towards their coverage?

BTW I thought about what you said about Saving my Insurance payments but never did and don't regret since my Heart almost stopped and it cost over $100,000 for a couple stents and 2 days in Hospital............

With unemployment running high and debt spiraling out of control, we might have expected Romney's ability to make money to be a plus. Instead, it only emphasized his difference from you and me. He had money nestling in the Cayman Islands. He only paid 14.1% on a fortune that would make King Midas blush. Worst of all, he had worked in private equity, and while he helped save a lot of jobs, he was probably responsible for downsizing a few, too. Romney insisted that he left Bain before it committed its greatest sins, but the image of Mitt cheerfully declaring, "I like being able to fire people" stuck in the minds of many voters.

Binders Full Of Women - He said that he went out and found women to be in his government when he was governor and he came back with ?binders full of women.? Not only was that dumb to say but it was a big old lie.

Corporations Are People - ?Corporations are people, my friend ? of course they are. Everything corporations earn ultimately goes to the people. Where do you think it goes? Whose pockets? Whose pockets? People?s pockets. Human beings, my friend.? Yes, he said corporations were people.

Wife Slander ? During his 47% speech, he said he?d keep his wife quiet so she wouldn?t annoy people. Bet that didn?t go over well.

So any exit polls out? Still working haven't heard much.

Not out yet... but a given they will mirror those of 08
http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/results/polls/#USP00p1

Using those facts..was quite easy to anticipate flow of election topic by most members after being around here since 1999.. were few surprises by remarks by most in this thread..quite predictable.

Per the exit polls...

With the demographical changes of population and declining % of tax payers and increasing % of those dependent on gov...chance of having a conservative pres elected is remote.

Most important result of the night:

"The Rocky Mountain High just got a whole lot higher. On Tuesday night, Amendment 64 -- the measure which sought the legalization of marijuana for recreational use by adults -- was passed by Colorado voters, making Colorado the first state to end marijuana prohibition in the United States."

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/11/06/amendment-64-passes-in-co_n_2079899.html

http://coloradoindependent.com/124845/future-shock-what-happens-if-colorado-legalizes-pot

Even if the state moves forward with implementation in a timely fashion, it is anyone?s guess what the federal response?if any?will be. The feds could do nothing, could move to block implementation, or could wait until legal businesses are set up and then move to shut them down, possibly arresting owners and employees in the process.

While the amendment legalizes private use of marijuana, public use would remain illegal. Patrons at a ball game, for instance, would not be able to go to the smoking area and light a joint. People would not be allowed to sit on a park bench and light up a marijuana pipe. People growing their own could have up to six plants, with no more than three being mature at any given time. Plants would have to be grown in secured areas that are not visible to the public. Even if it exceeds the legal one ounce, growers would be allowed to possess their entire harvest.

Employers would not have to accommodate people who wish to smoke at work and would still be allowed to test for marijuana use and to fire people who test positive. Driving under the influence of marijuana would remain illegal and it would remain illegal to sell or give marijuana to anyone under 21 years old.

Many of the posts in this thread are extremely racist, ignorant, and judgmental. I wish there were more intelligent, articulate statements made on both sides. I think the political forum used to be a lot that way, when it was populated by the likes of kosar, smurphy, DTB, intense operator, Dr. Freeze, etc. I wish there was still better discourse and less name calling and finger pointing. But I guess that is what politics inspire in people.

It's a shame this country is so divided. I'm going to continue going to work, making a great living, and doing what I love to do. Doubt anything is going to change the way I live, and I doubt anything is going to change for you in your day to day life. No matter who has been president, I've always lived my life the way I wanted to, did the things I wanted to do, and loved the people I wanted to love. Why would this change? And I would feel the same way, even if that other guy won...

Have a wonderful day and appreciate the freedom that we do have in our country. We are all extremely lucky to be American.
