I will put all my picks in this thread thru the National Championship game here. There is already tons of action on the BCS game between Auburn & Florida State, opening line has moved from -7 1/2 for FSU to -9 1/2 back down to -9, total at 65 opening line moved to 66 to 66 1/2 and staying steady.

ESPN ranked these bowl games in order and I thought I would share them. I will have my picks up before the first kickoff on December 21. There is too much info to digest before then, so if you are making picks already, you better hope there are no ineligible players due to academics or freak injuries or suspensions for doing some dumb shit before their bowl games start, like driving 110 in a 70, or getting caught with a gal in a dorm room or caught with pot, etc. Every bowl season, some team gets players booted, some quit, some get freak injuries and some coaches just don't care as they are moving onto another gig or coordinator job, etc. Some bowl teams that got their asses handed to them last year have revenge on their mind this year and some teams when it comes to bowl season just can't perform, Bobby Stoops anyone? Heisman jinx? Well last year Johnny Manziel won and his team easily covered in their Bowl Game. This year they have Duke who lost in the ACC Championship to #1 Florida State and Duke lost their bowl game to Cincy, getting 8 pts and were up with less than 2 minutes left and they ended up getting back doored and Cincy covered outright in Charlotte last year.

Be careful and be wise!! Again, my picks will come on December 21!

The information below is copyright from ESPN!

GL!! Happy reading!

Tulane honoring their fallen DB who's in a wheelchair but battling back to try and walk again someday and will be graduating from school soon, also playing basically in their backyard, QB for ULL Broadway had been hobbled by an injury 2 games ago, their last game they gave away and they won their bowl game last year, Tulane also in revenge mode for blowout loss @ Lafayette!!

GL on this one!!

Go Green Wave!!

2-3 thus far, down a few units with much much more left, adding this play and reasoning is below:

Northern ILL +2 (3 units) Line opened right where I thought it would at -1 1/2 for N Ill and why shouldn't have? Huskies were undefeated and looking forward to a BCS bowl game until they fell flat to a beast defensively in their conference in BG!! No Ill had a few players out just before the MAC Chmp game and now they have everyone back that wasn't injured in the MAC Chmp. Jordan Lynch's last game before the All-Star bowls and Northern Ill seniors want a bowl game win. They got pounded last year by Florida and this time they are matched up with Utah St, who have gone basically the last 2/3 of the season without athletic QB, Chuckie Keaton. This one is being played in San Diego, a neutral site, longest distance to travel was for N Ill, Utah St with many players from Cali, however, Huskies came to San Diego with one thing in mind, win their bowl game for their seniors and that was on Lynch's mind in his last interview and I'm sure he'll be interviewed again on game day. N Ill averages 210 rushing yards per game but they also pass for 190 ypg and have their midger WR, Lewis back, who doubles as a special team return man with very good quickness, which may be the difference in this tilt. Utah State with really no quality wins vs anyone in the top 50, N Ill beat a pretty productive Ball St team in their backyard and lost to BG, but they also pounded Toledo pretty good who I compare to a USU club. USU quality wins over, Colorado St & UNLV, both in bowl games, USU opened at the dog, but in games decided by 3/+3 for USU they are 11-20 SU, while N Ill is 19-9 SU. Put in the factor of avenging a bowl loss and USU had a bowl win last year, the pendulum should swing to the Huskies and athletic qb, Jordan Lynch, I have No Ill winning this one by 3 pts, 30-27, especially with special teams plays and turnovers turned into points.

GL!

Good luck, WB.

Good luck, WB.

Thought I'd stop in to thank you for giving me more reason to go with Minny, Wild Bill.

Looks like you really like them Cardinals (Lville); I think i'll run that one on my trusty Spreadsheet and IF IT ALSO LIKES THEM - I'll be with ya on them even though they sure ain't playing like the did earlier this season. I got them pegged as a well rounded (run/pass offense and better than average defense) team. One thing I have to mention is that I watched them twice this year and that QB (can't remember his name right now) didn't deserve Heisman consideration IMO.

Utah St./ N. Illi? Good luck with those two; they're much to UNpredictable for me.

Your UCF/BAYLOR OVER sure looks tempting. Dimes offers TEAM totals and I gotta see what it's got for BAYLOR; one of the best teams for putting pts. on the board in bunches IF they get in gear. They should find their gear vs. Central.

BTW, NICE couple of 10 unit bonanzas this season. Way to go .... . . :bigun:

Have a prosperous 2014., WB.

Thanks Jimbo!! Yes, please run the spreadsheet and let me know what it comes up with, I gotz this feeling that Huskies roll tonight in San Diego, also Teddy Bridgewater hyped now for #1 NFL Draft pick by the ESPN draft 'gurus', LOL, they talk a good game, but the reality in Draft Prospects is, waint until they play 2-3 seasons in the NFL, then go back at your scouting report and see if that measured the same as what you pegged that prospect in being or not being!! They surely missed out on Vince Young and Heyward Bey so far, there are others, Tony Mandarich???

UCF & Baylor, each team should put up 31 pts according to my index numbers I use for rushing yds per carry, per game, def rush yds, allowed, etc, I use them all then use schedule comp for last 4 games, typically comes up with a very accurate number, especially on the big plays, last year it had Bama winning by 17, but I had a gut feeling on ND would show up and they did, they just couldn't score, LOL!!

GL with your games!!

GO HUSKIES & GOLDEN GOPHERZ!!

Can't run them all, Wild Bill. It's so time consumming and boring as all hell but I will be running most of them for this week I HOPE and should have something to post.

Looking forward to the Gopher game.

Something funny - everytime I see Rutgers in the same sentence with Notre Dame, I just shake my head. When I went there, they would be favorite ONLY AGAINST HIGH SCHOOL teams. Man that New Brunswick campus (and I guess, Newark too) must be jumping these days. The pick APPEARS to be too obvious and that means I steer clear of this game.

Good luck to ya.

GL!

What a bad beat!! Kicker with Hartley disease (Sims = Hartley for Saints who missed 2 point blank field goals for Saints two weeks ago, they must be related) and Lynch destined himself for the CFL, no deep ball or instincts to pass to open receivers 2 yards away? COME ON MAN!! Just a bad bad bad beat!!

These games should start getting interesting!!

Thus far, bowl games where the HC left for another program, those teams are 0-2 SU and ATS!! Bowling Green & Boise St

Mark this down for 2014, Northern Ill will be lucky to win 5 games with Carey as their Head Coach!! He fed off what was left for him the last two years and his tactical coaching sucks!!

added - UPGRADED Over 41 Stanford/Michigan St (10 units) All in on this one. Both teams feature stellar defenses, this game played for prestige, Stanford with slight home edge, LOL, however, both teams do feature two QB's that can pass the short game and have very good RBs in Gaffney (Stanford) and State features two good RBs. This is a 28-21 type game!! But what do I know?!! If all my games come in left on the board, I will still be negative during Bowl Season

GL folks and Happy New Year!! :toast:
