Damn what a start! What did you leave on the 298? Fast eight 4,7 I'd guess? I'd also guess they broke down fast the last game and you just didn't catch up to the move left (assuming you are a righty) Or either you were slugging beers trying to calm down! :toast: Man I can't imagine how you felt stepping on the approach at the start of the 3rd game. I've been bowling a long time and you just don't have nights like that often.
The best string I ever had was I left a ringing 10 in the first frame, covered it, then struck to the 9th in the second game. Shot 290, 277...had 567 going in. Man this 233 I need in the last game will be cake! Threw the front 6 in game 3 and left a pocket 8-10 split in the 7th. Ended up I needed just a mark in the 10th frame for 800. Got soft with it and went high leaving the baby split....missed it...shot 792. Had to turn around and look at the 11 in a row plaque to remember when it was. Holy shit it was in 2004! Getting old boys.... :facepalm:

You are correct. My heart was pounding out of it's chest the begining of the 3rd game. Let up on ball both frames....left the 4-6 back to back.

I'm old enough to know to make the move. Was stupid and tried to fit the ball in there.

That's ok, another lesson learned.

I'll get another 300 ring anyway.

you guys do brackets EVERY week? I can barely get my team into a dollar card game; much less have a high game pot or brackets. Between all the beer I'd drink and all that, I'd be lucky to get out of there for less than a hundy a week....:scared

Yes, brackets every week. The guy takes $5 from each bracket for running them. He's got a nice set-up with lap-top and printer. He gets around 30 brackets each week. Pays 425 for 1st and 410 for 2nd. I've gone all in just a couple of times. Obviously if you get hot you can clean up. The week I shot 804 I won everything. I bet I cleared $500. Not bad for 2 hours work.

Still ticked about that last game. I just let up on the ball and crashed the nose.

30 strikes out of a possible 36 and didn't shoot 800!
