Why blame Obama? This has been happening since before his term began.
Did this incident occur in the red sea or gulf of Aden(sp?) ? Anyway, why do folks continue to enter those waters?

The pirates engaged the U.S. forces on board, officials said. Two pirates were killed in the skirmish and 13 were captured and detained. Two others were already in U.S. forces custody, the statement said, and the remains of two pirates were found on board. "In total, it is believed 19 pirates were involved in the hijacking" of the vessel, Central Command said.

Maybe he could put those little floaters in the water around Somalia...you know the ones that separate the kiddie pool from the deep end?

Well, I guess that would do it too...but it sounds expensive.
I don't think Somalia has a government to speak of, just some mean old war lords.
People that enter these waters are doing so at there own risk. They know the pirate risk. These people did not deserve to be murdered and my heart goes out to their families but nothing O can do about it.
Ugh, my father is getting ready to sail around the world. For some reason he has no fear of sailing around South Africa. It's something he's wanted to do for a long time so it's hard to say too much but I know I'll be worried for a good long while.

American civilians sailed into dangerous waters. The US killed/captured the pirates. WTF do you want? A naval base?

How much tax dollars were wasted by having a US Naval Ship trail the sailboat only to view the murder of these 4 clueless do gooders?

I never really understand why the federal government has to do anything about these people who get in trouble in the "Hell Holes" of the world.
