if we can whack some a-holes in the hills of pakistan and afghanistan with drones,is it logistically impossible to do the same with these primitive mofos?.....

Yet another product of the cold war between American and the Soviet Union. We supply weapons to Afghanistan and Pakistan to kill Russians, succeed in our mission and then just up and leave. What happens years later with the weapons we supplied to them? They are using them against Americans.

Exact same story in Somalia.

So maybe instead of just killing these "primitive mofos" we should reassess our role as "world policeman" and "big brother" and start to promote literacy and other programs that support growth and peace, instead of investing all our money in weapons programs, war, and hatred that eventually just get turned around to bite us in the ass.

I'm not saying it's OK that these kinds of things happen, but the role of the U.S. in the problem is not exactly innocent.

unmanned drones and bomb their ass would sent them a message and be able to carry arms on your boat in international waters for protection.

Yeah this is great in theory but people are NUTS! People in these countries hate Americans and foreigners, it would take centuries to change the mindset. The hatred these people have was brought on by themselves and have nothing to do with US promotion.

Is there anything anywhere that isn't the U.S fault. Sheez The world wide liberal apologetic tour. 1st it be a long walk from Afgan and Pakistan for the pirites to travel to get arms when bulk of arms dealers in the world are on their doorstep.

You could stop these pirate attacks in their tracks--quite simply. Put a merc team with no U.S. allegiance (so gov won't give pirate captives a hand job and a lawyer) and put one on every vessel carrying cargo. 1st couple time they hit --send one back alive and let them know what they got to look forward to and that will be the end of it--yachts--diff story--they got no business in that area--but would make good bait :SIB

"the bunker"
maybe if we apologized?.... maybe it's not too late to reach out to the pirates and ask them what injustices have driven them to this desperate act of violence against recreational boaters?....

hard to believe what i`m reading....:D

you guys really think that they only do this because of american hegemony?....lol

read up on these monsters?...

http://world.globaltimes.cn/africa/2011-01/614082.html

this is a burgeoning enterprise....

they do it because..(hold for it)....because 19 times out of 20 they get away with it ....you kill one or two, what do they care?....

they ransom the crews and ships....and usually, they get paid....quietly...

nobody(aside from the families of the murdered) seem to give a healthy shit.....nobody wants to put a stop to it(except the russians..buckwheat,my man:toast: .)......

the economic cost is only around 7 to 12 BILLION a year...with which they upgrade their methodolgy and refine their technique...it`s like any other kind of ransom...the more you pay,the more you pay...

so fine, let em do their thing...it`s not like i`ve been agonizing whether to vacation in mogadishu or disneyworld this summer...

Always thought it was bizarre that these attackers keep attacking us when they haven't been provoked. I can't remember me going after anyone in real life just to go after them. Why do these people keep coming after us for no reason at all? i guess it is our freedoms they hate :142smilie
